Hi, i've been searching around the forums for a Taylor VS monash thread and i cannot find one sad.gif.
I'm planning to take a Business Course or an Economic Course
(not specific to which business course yet still considering)

Im not entirely sure because i love these two subjects, but im just worried that the mathematics in Economic goes out-of-hand.
(its not that im not great with maths i can solve them and understand them sure but i just cannot remember equations and rules very well)

Soo for those Taylor or Monash Business students out there.
Which uni should i pick and why.

Thank you smile.gif

Taylors is a new local but private university while Monash is an international and private university. Recognition wise, Monash should be better. Moreover you can transfer to their other campuses in Melbourne or Johanasburg.

Bolded is wrong.

Monash is an Australian public university.
For the Sunway Campus, the financial side is run separately but the academic side is overseen by the university proper in Melbourne.

soo basically in Monash, we get australian education material is it??

You did not argue with the "Monash better recognition" statement. Does that mean you agree with it??

Taylors being so much newer in providing university level education, really can't compete yet in terms of recognition.

Internationally Monash stands a lot better in terms of recognition.
Speaking locally, Taylor's being one of the oldest IPTS in Malaysia can be considered a good choice as well.
Monash would also cost a bit more than Taylor's.
If you want to do Econs then pretty much you would have to go to Monash since there's no econ degree in Taylor's.
Other things well if you can afford to go to either with no problems than go ahead and go for Monash.
Both can provide with stuff that are based on syllabus of foreign universities.
Monash with their programmes based on and developed from stuff from their Australian campuses
and Taylor's programmes are based on syllabus and structure of UWE and UniSA who they run twinning programmes with.
Of course Monash has better recognition than the two.
Speaking in Malaysian Context, Monash and Taylor's both are in Tier 5 in the MQA SETARA ratings.

Reputation wise and especially if you wanted to work overseas, Monash would be better.

University of Nottingham has a Malaysian Campus as well. Together with Monash these two are probably the best by far in terms of international recognition if you want to stay in Malaysia. If you don't mind travelling overseas that opens up really alot of options which will definitely be too much for us to be listing all here.

Come in here and you eyes will be like this > shocking.gif

Monash has a lot of eye candies. Fertilizers for my eyes.

On the note : Only consider Nottingham if you are willing to travel that far and stay there, if not, just go to Monash. Taylors' library is better though, I almost visit their library every Friday. dry.gif
