Looking at this thread One Click Eng S-Off , custom rom also can perform the ENG S-Off, so I dont think you will need to revert back to stock then only do the S-Off...

Also, after flash new custom rom, then flash radio, then optional only wanna flash RIL.. coz all nowadays the RIL for GB rom already use the 12.54 wan...

I assume 5.1.4 is RevoHD.. that one just upgraded version of stock rom

vivo 2.4, have macam2 goodies..

Ive just flashed to ARHD 5.1.4 with the recomended radio..but i think the radio is not so good la..i m not sure whether its digi problem or the radio problem..i got 3 bars of reception..n i tried by calling myself..out of 10 times only can get 5 times..the other 5 times is engaged..anyone having the same problem?
Anyway i flashed the rom following syuki's guide..before this rom i was on CM7 with stock radio n i din have any complaints from my frens saying that my phone is difficult to call..is there any other radio is good for ARHD 5.1.4 that has good reception n battery saving?

yes restoring apps takes around that long also..

contacts not need to be linked again, i never backup my contacts myself, i relied on google auto backup contacts..
facebook, mail, twitter account in settings > accounts and sync needs to type in again..

unique terms, the personal dictionary can be backup.. and restore it back later.. settings > language & keyboard > touch input > personal dictionary..

Yes, need to flash RIL again,
since RIL usually contained in the ROM itself.
unless, you're mean to flash recommended radio, then not need to flash RIL anymore.

Yezza.. no need to use other Full Wipe 1.3 or 1.4, EXT4 full wipe will clear all data, system etc and you gonna need to flash ROM again. 

needs root ? =/ ... anyway my problem is not about it taking a long time to lock .. my problem is i don't know if it's locked or not lol
