This game is really pissing me off...I want to start playing again, so I installed a Clean BF2 (ori), then I installed Special Forces (Original), then I ran the 1.4 FULL patch. Everything seemed to go find, but when I log in, the version number in the top right corner gives me my version as 1.1.something! It should be 1.4 isn't it? The lowest ping server I can find is 1821ms, so I'm guessing those are servers running on the old version. Why won't this update work? What are the steps I was supposed to do to upgrade? This is really annoying me.

rofl...oh damn, wish I've read your post before I screwed up the game by running the 1.22 patch like I read above . But thanks, I will try that now, and see if it works.
