Whoa. U can play it no prob, just try not to set the graphics more than medium. And not sure if u can enable AA either. But gameplay-wise, should be smooth.

I'm using AVG as well.. and always set my firewall to on. So I guess that shouldn't be the main problem.
Make sure all the proper UDP and TCP ports needed for BF2 are all open. The TCP ports are : 80, 29900, 29901, 29920, 28910, 4711 while the ports for UDP are : 27900, 29900, 29910, 27901, 55123, 55124, 55215, 16567, 1500-4999. Try to have all these open first and see how it goes. Perhaps u will need to adjust ur router settings, but I don't use one so can't help u there. |

Ur. The patch. Yea.. try patching first. Shame on me.
But if u haven't patched.. shouldnt it display 'data different from server' or something of that sort? |

Naah. How fast ur line is doesnt affect pings or latency for any reason, dont worry. From what I know 384kb would have acceptable pings as well, depending on where u are. We have average pings to servers cos our copper lines.. well, I dont use it often, but it suck.
Dang it! I should know better ZX always roams around LYN waiting to post.. This post has been edited by BlitzAce: Apr 9 2006, 01:53 PM |

Ahh someone that plays BFV.. a salute for u. Anyway crashing to windows could be from couple of things : corrupt Direct X, pc spec less than minimum, and trouble regarding cd read. Ur pc can play BFV no prob (mine was around that range when I'm on BFV), so I guess its the other minor things. Andlike scay said, try get newer drivers for ur vid & soundcard.
