Hi,

I opened recently a restaurant with only some ceiling fans and no door or windows, just open at the front. Most of the clients are not indisposed by the heat and are happy to smoke inside. But sometimes a few clients complain or leave because they want aircon. I don’t want to close the front and pay for a full aircon installation (probably 10 BTU needed). I would like to just install 2 small aircon units in a corner, just beside the sofas. These aircons will be switched off most of the time and I will only switch tem on, on request. The purpose is just to refresh the air in the corner (opposite to the open entrance) temporarily and only at this place, even if I know this fresh air will flow outside. So firstly do you think it’s possible to feel the fresh air in a range of 2 or 3 meters from the aircon unit and secondly how many BTU do I need? Is one BTU enough to refresh only a few square meter space in these conditions. So the most important is not to refresh the room (impossible) but just to temporarily refresh a small area beside the aircon device.

Thanks

Ducati
