QUOTE(Quazacolt @ Nov 5 2011, 10:04 PM) it looked decent, with lots of independant components... tested it earlier and the trebles were quite crisp, tho the bass still loses out to z623 looks easier to mod too, wires are totally replacable and drivers are easily removable |

QUOTE(Quazacolt @ Nov 6 2011, 09:32 AM) the bass is way more accurate than anything logitech could come up with yeah cant complain since thats the price you paythat said, for home entertainment, C3 is a bit lacking, as the tweeters/mids couldnt reach far enough. then again, different application (those are meant for pc speakers anyways) and for RM400 over say, rm4k or more for an actual home entertainment system, one definitely cant complaint ive seen some mods done to the subwoofer that can increase the performance, by changing the cables and stuffing some cotton... might wanna try that... im definitely interested in changing the wires too for the satellites... interested in the cables here This post has been edited by x-1o8-x: Nov 6 2011, 10:03 AM |

QUOTE(Quazacolt @ Nov 6 2011, 10:22 AM) i would rather save the time/money/effort and just get better drivers and/or speaker sets haha which home system you're planning to get?or better yet, get an actual home entertainment system (im planning for one anyways, just dont have the budget for now, and watching movies/anime without a subwoofer plain blow ass, hence me buying a C3 well since i mostly do my things via pc, and my room's not that big to begin with, getting a full home theater system is kind of an overkill at best i'll be getting a decent 2.0 speaker setup |

QUOTE(Quazacolt @ Nov 9 2011, 06:14 PM) i still believe i've chosen the right companion at the right price after you turned it off, is there still distorting sound from the speakers when playing lia's songs?though at the end of the day, it is something temporary until i begin my home entertainment project. as for the settings/effect, theres only SRS on or off, nothing else LOL! Added on November 9, 2011, 11:13 pm QUOTE(power911 @ Nov 9 2011, 10:44 PM) this reminds me of widening the space helps stereo image and lowers satellite volume~ adding moar bass XD Dolby Sound Space Expanderfor some reason, i liked this even on music... gives a concert feeling, plus wider sounstage~ This post has been edited by x-1o8-x: Nov 9 2011, 11:13 PM |

QUOTE(IwanAGP @ Nov 10 2011, 12:29 AM) Maybe next time they should specify in manual the placement of the speaker and the sweet spot for it every speaker has different sensitivity to positoning...Eg: Distance from wall Height of speaker Separation distance of speaker Relative position of subwoofer to satellites ... ... ... *You know I'm just trying to make some fun stuff here your room setup also plays a role in the sensitivity... rooms with lesser dampeners such as carpets, curtains will give different sound than those with it the reason why they never bothered specifying it in the first place is because of our room. not everyone has the same furniture in their home in fact, if you visit thx or dolby website, they can give u a simple guide on how to position your speakers, depending on the listening distance. it is recommended you position the drivers so that it faces directly to your ear, ie left speaker angled directly to your left ear as for subwoofer, you can put it anywhere since its omnidirectional, however it is stated that you shouldnt put it too near to the wall as it could resonate and give out muddy bass, according to dolby |
