Mr. Edifier. Anyone has any idea how to safely turn off Edifier S530D? Unlike my previous M3300, S530D doesn't have a button to switch it off. Kindly advise me. Thanks.

they removed the 'turn off' button due to some European Standards... I dunno what is it about but I'm sure it tells that if you put it on standby it's gonna use up a lot of power (wasted energy)

so to turn it off the only way is to switch off the back main switch or just unplug/turn off from the wall socket

yea it's sad to see my S530D blue screen illuminating every hour I switch on my comp and speaker
*
I was worried that if I turn off the speaker by pulling out the plug just like that, may harm my speakers in the long run. I don't think there's any button on the remote to switch off my S530D. Will go back and check.

then switch off via the back of the subwoofer if you're that worried smile.gif

as mentioned, they had removed it... they used to have a power off button. I miss that button sad.gif

Thanks bro. Most likely this is my only way to safely switch my speakers off.

Haha~ Got somehow feel proud of it la of course! something like "Look man, This is BIG stuff!" *Look at those people who bought SG esspecially EVO and I laughed quietly*

Even when sitting in the train, everyone nearby look at my C3, then look at me LOL wub.gif
*
I would have to agree with that. I still see lots of people flooding the SG booth during PC Fair and they seem to be doing quite decent. Probably due to SG strategic location since Edifier is located at a seperate floor.

I've search through the net some people recommend to change the wires inside the C3 subwoofer because its quite thin and they said it improve alot plus bass more punchy,
but I think doing that will void the warranty? hmm.gif
*
If you're not sure on what you're doing, I would not recommend you opening it up. This action may void the warranty. If you want to tweak the bass level, you can always use a software to do it. My previous M3300 is weak. After some tweaking, the bass level improve.

You may refer to the mentioned link bro. Have fun.

I'm so disappointed with the Edifier Product. Since first day I bought it,the S530's subwoofer is broken. I claimed to one-to-one exchange from the shop, they refused and insist me take the product to claim warranty. So I put there for 3-4 days already, now they say they have no time to investigate the problem.tell me after new year then identify the problem. But what I heard from Mr.edifier in this forum,he told me he had send the part to the shop.but I contact the shop, they said still in investigation, nobody had contact them about the warranty part, they didn't receive any information from Edifier Company.

THIS IS WHAT I GET FROM EDIFIER PRODUCT.AFTERSALE SERVICE is such poor =[ seriously disappointed with it =[ hope Edifier can improve their aftersale service.
*
Probably there is some misunderstanding from their side. Mr. Edifier here is considered one of the best as every problems faced are dealt in a professional manner so far. Give him some time to provide you a reasonable explanation to your problem and I am pretty sure your issue will be solved in no time bro.

thanx edifier....
will get R501, if not holiday already want to buy tommorow
*
Since you mentioned that you're more into gaming and music, 5.1 is best suited for gaming but may not be the right choice when it comes to music. Anyway, the R501 is a good choice of speaker. You will not regret purchasing one. Though I did not own one, but I have tested it before. Happy CNY to you bro.

We use to have a thread where everyone would share their speakers setup. I wonder why the thread has been inactive for quite some time. It is nice to see different setup among individuals.

Pain in what sense bro? Your speaker is still new. Perhaps give it sone time to warm up. By then, your speaker should be doing fine.
