I just bought a edifier M1370 a week before but bad luck for me. After a week, my left speaker has a loud, annoying low frequency hum.
If i play the music for more than few hrs, then the hum will be louder. Surf through the google and found out not only me having this issue. Australia owner also having the same issue as me(see link below).
Any M1370 owner here? Got any issue for your edifier m1370?

For you information, our in house technician already tested the 2 units faulty M1370 for more than 1 week, the speaker working fine and doesn't produce problem you encounter.

are you using windows 7?

if yes then most soundcards supported will have the bass boost function in it as an extra...

though I do not recommend using it because it degrades the audio badly... but if you wanted raw bass badly this could help...

oh btw how new is your used unit? Speaker break in could help too

I also tired with this problem. Now, under negotiations to upgrade to other model instead of RMA because I am totally  lost confidence on this model. ( 2 weeks using 2 brand new edifier M1370, same issue happen) rclxub.gif
Some more, the dealer now telling me that their technical people can't reproduce the problem as I stated.  sweat.gif
So, I attached a video link here just to share the issue I am facing even with the brand new replacement set

the sound from the video sounds like open ground issue. if it is, then no doubt the dealership cant replicate the issue at their site. my other speaker used to give this sound at some time of the day, indicating it is really sensitive to electricity changes (voltage drops or spikes).

all i can say, try to bring it to your friend house and check if the humming sound exist. if it is, then your electricity line is not to blame.

well in that case, i guess, there is something wrong inside it. if i were you i probably check for ground loop issue, by touching the metal parts of the subwoofer / speakers. if the humming is gone, it's it. (beware of electrocution!) not blaming your electricity this time, but it could be bad solder job inside the subwoofer.

if all else fail, it's probably bad batches of M1370 you got, or just plain bad luck or both.

go to your volume control options... (commonly on the bottom right side of your screen. If not then control panel and search for 'sound')

double click it will show you the available soundcards connected.

choose the one you are currently using and double click it.

see if there is an 'Enhancements' tab there or not. (not all soundcards (especially built in ones) have them but most external ones should have it)

my dell with SRS audio does not have bass boost function but the SRS will do the job
but when I plug my T-Muso soundcard it provides bass boost feature.

The problem is was reproduced by Steven (wonder how is his unit now? Any update from him?) on the right speakers as well. His unit is new 1 as well.

Ground loop - Should it effect all brands of speakers as I can't reproduce the effect on other brand speakers on the different plugs around the house.
