Hi All,

Which are the best 5.1 sound system that recommend for Xbox 360 Slim ( Got optical Port ).
Currently i am looking into Sonic Gear Enzo 7000 but cant find it anywhere now. I am in a quite tight budget.. Around RM 500.00 only for the sound system.

This are the list i am looking into :

1. Logitech Z-5500 Digital 5.1 Speaker System
2. Sonic Gear Enzo 7000
3. Logitech Surround Sound Speakers Z506

Any more recommendation for me? I need 5.1 sound system below RM 500.00. Preferable with optical output.

with RM500 below you can barely get an Altec 5.1 system =/

usually only THX speaker has optical, which also cost more than RM500.

THX has nothing to do with optical connection. THX is just a commercial certification. There are many HTIB out there with no THX certification yet has optical input. May be you have mistaken THX with dolby.

Any recommendation? PC Fair is on this friday.. What about Z506 if want to buy it.. Optical is optional.. What i want is beast sound for gaming... Want the scary sound form DS 2..

You can't get surround sound from Z506, only stereo.

You can get sound from your surroundings if you place them appropriately, but you could only get stereo sound, not real surround sound. It's like placing 2 pairs of stereo speakers front and back and nothing more.

That one only got 3.5mm input, but don't have optical input. And also don't have decoder.

I thought you already stated in your 1st post that you looking for optical connection for 5.1, why now links to non optical connection speaker?

Btw, still waiting for your monster cable review.

i know, i was simply refering to PC THX cert speaker which come with optical
normal cheap cheap speaker wont come with optical
even my RM500+ 7.1 also

*in short, PC THX cert speaker normally come with optical.

Nah.. Just the same as normal HDMI cable if use at non 1080p FULL HD TV.. But got a bit improvement for the graphics.. Just 8- 10% improvement.
My TV just HD Ready.. Not full.. So not much change, just a bit better.
Because all of you mention that optical input might cause more than RM 500.00.. So i am looking for normal one.. Sonic Gear ENZO 7000 got optical output and below RM 500 only but no more production ald.

unless u use HDMI or Optical for your sound, u wont get any surround

Or can opt for Dolby ProLogic II for fake surround sound. That's what I used until 2005

Oh ok.. Thanks for the guide... In that case, might increase the budget another RM 500 to buy either samsung or sony system... Need to wait for salary again.....
