So this thing is based on popular demand, I was thinking about what activities should I do in computer week (I'm comp club chairman), many people suggested that I should start DoTA tournament. Well it sounds like a great idea, I was just afraid that the close-minded school admins will say no.
It takes a lot of properly working PCs (oops), a LAN networks (oops-2), and prizes (oops-3). Maybe I should charge the participants' fee or something, but people hate to pay for something (except McD). Then I heard from my sister that she hosted a DoTA tournament a few years ago and she got sponsorships from Samsung and other companies in NUS, well I thought if Intel or Razer can sponsor and I can make it district level, it will be cooler.
Any ideas? Please dunk in your ideas, comments or whatever, I love a good talk.
