Guys , my idle temps for 560Ti Twin Fzr II is around 37-39 , is this considered normal ? non-aircond room.
However , a burn-in test. The temperature will rise until 90 at 5 minutes.
Is this ever normal ? .....would need some insights regarding this problem.

MOBO - MSI MS7599 870-G45
PROC - Phenom II X4 955BE RM470 with HYPER 212+
CASING - Thermaltake V4
PSU - Silverstone ST50F 500W PSU
RAM - 2x2GB DDR3 1333MHz KVR
MONITOR - DELL Ultrasharp U2311H 23"W HD Monitor
GPU - MSI N560GTX Ti Twin Frozer II

Furmark does EATS GPU . Running Furmark test rise the temperature tremendously but I think 90 is a bit too high.

Did you make sure the fans are running ? Or did you run afterburner to monitor its performance ?
Most importantly , did you OVERCLOCK it?

Nope, didn't overclock at all. it's at it's default settings. When having burn in the GPU's temp raises very very fast...
The fans were working , airflow was good.

how's the temp when u're watching hd/bluray movies, playing games, so on..

those software/hardware and overclocking stuff would definitely test the gpu capacity thus showing the highest temps and performance that it can handle...

If I'm not mistaken some high end GPU do give warning not to always run burn in test because it will stress the gpu to much and really burn it.There is a warning paper included in the box.You can play game or watch video in high setting but they don't recommend burn in or stress test.

Did you tweak the voltage ? Whats the default voltage on the Afterburner ? Try Increasing your fan speed to see if it helps

And before you panic, modern GPU can actually withstand 90 'c for awhile.
You can try referring to this thread for some good reading and understanding :

http://www.overclock.net/nvidia/651707-faq...hics-cards.html

Something that worth a note :

Most cards have a maximum GPU temperature (105*C for most NVIDIA cards). This means that if you reach this temperature, the card will automatically begin to lower it's clocks and voltage to lower temperatures. If the temperature goes higher than that there is a built in protection (much like on Intel CPUs) that will automatically cut power to the GPU. All these thresholds are way below what the danger temp is so basically it is impossible (unless you purposely disable or change the thresholds) for your GPU to ever reach a dangerous temperature in which it may die.

i got the same gpu with u, i running furmark my gpu temp is around 68c+, if overclock, it is around 75c+, depend how u oc. I running msi burner when playing games to monitor the celcius/sec, it cant even pass 60c, mine idle is around 30-33c, non-aircond room too.

Usually when gaming , the card could reach about 70 i think ; but i kinda feel that it's hot especially with the aftermarket cooler (TwinFzrII) which is known to be very good for temperatures.

Haihz...something sad happen , the graphic card kinda died last night when I resit it , don't know what happen though. probably static or something else =.=....
Plan to send for RMA

The GPU fans will still run , but the BIOS detect video issues ; monitor could not detect the graphic card.
Anyone know why this happens ? It's not due to the burn in though , cause I restart fine ; just that after resitting it then got problem already.
and oh ya , didn't overclock the card ; so the card doesn't die due to overclocking.
can claim warranty ? is msi strict with their warranty ?

I just bought 1 month ago only ....emo.

I am kinda confused at your blurry description. Too many things at once , chill and calm down.
First you have a temperature problem with your card, and now the card wont boot up after you re'sit' the card into the mobo slot ?

I seriously doubt the problem is linked, but regardless you may wanna check if you have the card has fill the slot properly.
Did you try with another monitor ? or with your older card to see if you can boot up just fine.

It is actually okay for a card to reach, even 100 degree , and most Nvidia card could withstand up to 105 for a while.
But It is not recommended.

If you think your card heat up too fast, have you been running very demanding game such as Crysis 2 / Shogun 2 ?
70 is actually fine as long as your fan is running properly. If you are worried you can manually adjust your fan speed to be higher to see if it helps with your situation.

At first , it's the heat problem that I'm having but now it seems that another problem occurred , probably due to my carelessness or other factors.
The graphic card died. Nothing wrong with the monitor , because I switched back to my old Graphic card and everything works as normal.

Thus, the additional question is about the warranty thing for MSI graphic cards.

and Yup , the 2 problem doesn't link.

Btw , lets say , if i forgot to off the monitor but removed the DVI cable from the graphic card. The monitor is in standbymode. Will this damage the graphic card ? Cause I think this is the problem I'm facing now...sigh.
will MSI cover for me with the warranty ? this card is just 1 month old.

I dont see how that can damage your card , probably not.

'I think you were just being unlucky and your card die at the wrong time you did something so you think they were related.

And you didnt so anything to void the warranty ( from what you described )
I dont see why MSI wouldnt cover yours .

Probably good time to RMA the card if you ask me .

The only down side is don't know how long it'll takes for RMA....anyhow thanks for your replies ; hopefully could RMA and the temp will be better.

Nvidia is hot. The same with my gtx580. Increase the fan speeds, and perhaps optimize the air flow in your casing and it should run well. No complaints on mine.

No such thing la, your card hot could be many factor like gpu model, room ambient temp, chasis airflow or the gpu cooler. I very satisfy with my MSI GTX 560 Ti TF II, the temp very great.
