most forumers here are users, n i think that was the original intention of the thread creation, to gather users and pool their resources, otherwise they might have gone to other forums, such as CM, just my 2cents

anyone installd superaosp 8.0? cant get it to work properly. can anyone suggest any method?

ive used galaxy 5 before and i believe nothing in its price range can beat the speed, not even our mi300 (because of similar cpu clockspeed but much smaller screen of the g5). camera is just 2m but not much of a difference compared to the quality of our 5m in the mi300.

the quality of our 5mp is just so-so. try comparing images taken from g5 n mi300 side by side. but still, 5mp is better, but not by much

and speed of the UI is related to the screen size, this im really sure, lots of reviews out there which can prove phones with similar cpu and gpu but different screen size differs in term of the UI speed.
screen size contributes to the pixel count on the screen mi300 = 320x480, g5=240x320, now picture this, will there be any difference if u play a game with the same rig setup but different screen size, 1024x768, 800x600..
mi300 n g5 cpu are somewhat the same eventhough not exactly the same, n u also have to consider the gpu also, adreno whats-the-number-i-forgot, eventhough results from benchmarks might tell differently, in the end, what really counts is the user experience, try to compare mi300 and g5 side by side n ull get my drift, just my 2cents boss,,

Yea bro. Sold it. Mainly because of the screen size and multi touch. I did the comparison side by side when i still had my g5. The difference was quite obvious. Forgot to record the video

depends on your main purpose of using the phone, i bought galaxy 5 because i wanted to try android and at that time, that was the best option i could find, with low price tag and quite okay performance even though its lacking in some parts such as small screen size and lack of multitouch.
if u think that 2.8 inch is good enough for you, and ur totally okay with no multi-touch, than galaxy 5 or mini is an option, but i changed to mi300 because of the screen size, i use the phone browser a lot when im away from home and since the screen was very small, it was quite hard to read,
but in terms of gaming, i would say that it can perform even faster than other expensive phones, but sadly, some games are not playable due to small screen size 240x320.

tested different roms 1st day i got the mi300.. actually i had everything prepared, the roms, flashing tools ready even before i got the phone, hehehhehe.. never liked the original crap of whatever phone that is.. and the comparison was against the samsung original rom for galaxy 5 not the custom motafoca one. I5500DXJG5 rom against phantom (forgot what version i used that time), i know the comparison would be a bit unfair, but UI speed of mi300 still cant beat the g5 in terms of responsiveness. sadly, no video to prove this.

n for mi300, using latest cm7 with superAOSP 8 kernel patch seemed to improve the snappiness a bit, no more stuttering when scrolling through contacts or any scrollable menus. im not sure if it's just my phone but when using any froyo roms, regardless of phantom, firetrap, bakpia the stutter when scrolling is always there, even though minimal, really annoys me n i chose to use CM7 instead.

not sure about SGM bro, havent tried one, but i would say angry birds wouldnt differ much on both phones, mi300 would get a + for the bigger screen size, can support more games, lots of vids on youtube of people testing different games on mi300. i dont think G5 can support gameloft games, screen too small. hmmm

im using build89 now n usb works just fine, testing it right now, not sure about wifi tether though

yeap. ext 3. no random reboots so far. but will wait n see how it goes

are u using papaGO? i noticed mine got problem to stay locking on the satellite signal. while moving, sometimes it will get stuck and lost the signal.
on CM7..

r u using 8gb sdcard? i too once had that problem today. but after a few reboots its ok now. camera/gallery/picture issues? data wipe maybe?

agreed, its nice when ur calling someone u dont have to hold it right on ur ear waiting for the other side to pick up, only put it there when it vibrates,

the problems are somewhat similar, wifi connectivity, sd damaged problem, FC on media and phone. i rebooted in recovery, mounted everything, rebooted again, enabled s2e if ur using app2sd, if the problem's still there, reboot again a few more times until the problems are gone, n my phone is ok now, but weird though

r u referring to CM7? if so, then mine is working just fine with superaosp 8.0 kernel patch. lasts about the same as phantom. sure it sucks hard with the original cm7 kernel.

anyone here using other batteries than the standard one in the package? maybe momax X level?
