maybe I outdated icon_rolleyes.gif
but yesterday I update@upgrade my CSL Mi 300 to Android 2.2 (froyo) using automatic update software (link here)

anything work fine, without any problem

but I heard that using android 2.2 in mi 300 need custom ROM

so, I donno is't the autoupdate software I using as above link also automatic update ROM? or not.
if not it's any problem I will face soon?

sorry I my question already discuss before (doing search but still not find any solution icon_rolleyes.gif )

note : I buy CSL mi300 last week, already load with Android 2.1 update 1

rclxm9.gif DONE UPDATE my Mi300 to -> [Froyo] Phantom Sky Revolution V1
after reading on this topic from page 1 to XX page, finish flash my ROM successfully...

just wanna ask some question about SetCPU, I enabled it under Phantom Setup, and it's always running in background automatically after reboot.
let say I disable it under Phantom setup menu, is my CPU still running max to 600MHz?
or we need to enabled SetCPU (inside Phantom Setup) for cpu run max to 600MHz?

sorry I still new in Android @ smartphone modification icon_rolleyes.gif

some more Question related to android...

Is't we still can get gmail/maps/other apps version updated?
example on froyo 2.2.1 gmail apps is version x.x.1, then when we update ROM to froyo 2.2.2 we will get gmail app version x.x.2.

if we don't update ROM to latest android, can we just get new version for gmail/maps/other app?

---
if I already flash ROM to PH Sky Revo v1, but I didn't doing the Clockworld mod, can I do it now? to partition my SD?

what? how u do that?? my battery can last long for 5 hours with internet browsing over 3G.. if im stream youtube via stock browser, it can last long for 2 hours..
btw,im on phantom rev1a too

I dont use 3G, if I on 3G I think my battery will drain more quickly.
now about 23hrs, still at 70%, everything off ; 3G/wifi/also kill all service I dont use ; maps/twitter/facebook/etc

is't default system application like gmail/google maps will automatically update when new version coming?
or need to use latest ROM to get latest gmail?

hi everyone, new user here!
very glad  to join the community hehehe

btw my mi300 cannot detect my home wifi, which is very confusing as it connects seamlessly with my college wifi, and also can detect my neighbours wifi.
it is weird because it cannot connect with my house line!
is it something to do with firmware or anything?

mine is 2.2.2 (original condition, but without any csl apps, maybe shop upgrade themselves?)
and my modem is innacom w3400v, tm original.

any insight is much appreciated!

try change the channel, default it's set to use only channel 11

when we plug in this phone to usb port at pc/laptop, battery will automatically charging using USB power

so, if I plug usb cable to car mp3 player, will the car mp3 player charge my phone?
if yes, it's any bad effect to phone/battery compare using/buy CSL car charger?

screen orientation OK
camera + flash OK

for me battery life = OK
last ROM i use = Phantom Sky Revo V1 can get 3days on battery with very lite usage

for whom using CyanogenMod-7_EAv5 ROM
maybe can try this setting for more battery life

-cyanogenmod setting > performance > cpu setting > available governors --->>> choose "smartass"
then tick "Set On Boot"

for my Mi300 using this setting save more battery than default setting "ondemand"

anybody want to try CyanogenMod 7 EA ROM, my advice...

1st try CyanogenMod 7 EA v5, recomended to flash using nb0 instead using zip
if everything running ok + smooth (wifi + bluetooth) with EA v5, no need update to v5.1

but if wifi/bluetooth have any issues, update to CyanogenMod 7 EA v5.1 (.zip)

because from many user experience, can get more battery life with EA v5 than v5.1

are you guys serious ?
a phone support android 2.3.5 only cost rm 299 in IT fair?
may i know how long is the battery life?
is it last long if constant on 3g / wifi ?
does phone get hot easily?
not too lag?
really interested to know wink.gif
thanks.
*
CSL Mi300 1st model/batch price is arround rm1099 (is i'm not mistake)
but then CSL go to promo price at rm699
but then again CSL the price to rm599, rm499

then I buy this phone rm499 with stock android eiclar 2.1
then upgrade to froyo 2.2.2
then now I using android 2.3.5

for battery, i can get 1day for wifi, half day for 3G
tell me what phone brand with price that can use 3G on battery for 2days without charging?
any android phone on the market still have issues with battery when using 3G, even on rm1k SGII.
for CSL you have option to buy 3rd party battery for rm80-100 for backup

lag? for my CSL mi300 with android 2.3.5 compare to my friend sony xperia10, i think my mi300 still the best

QUOTE(xiia0ha0 @ Sep 19 2011, 08:11 PM)
so what's the market price now?
what's the lowest price i can get?
does the battery last long if constant wifi / 3g?
the capacitive screen okay?
play decent games will lag?
may i have some review from you guys?
*
for review, i think a lot review arround the net,
BUT if you want review from lowyat member, you can read whole CSL Mi-300 thread from v1 to v3, a lot of review written there, also a comparison with other phone in same price range, also with some benchmark, etc

we dont discuss about the best android phone,
but we discus about the very very cheap android phone, but can do anything everything on it
