of course it can use 2.3.4, cm7 nightly now so incredibly stable..ive been using it for monts(i think)..but the battery drain quiet abit..i could say u lost about 3-4 hours..for me, its smoother than froyo in UI..

hmm..rooted or not?why dont go for custom rom?its a lot faster u noe..never had problem with wifi with phantom or cm7 rom..

why dont u try clean abit ur 3.5 jack, using alcohol..

this happen bekoz, u use clockworkmod recovery, change to original recovery first then flash again..if anything doesnt go wrong,u will succeed in 1 try..many times happen to me..

cm 7 build 129 and 130 makes my touch screen unusable...dunno why,some ppl got this prob, some dont..

try boot is fastboot mode, flash clockworkmod recovery in phantom package, i think got option to backup rom in the recovery

IMO the prob with touch screen occur because the kernel is incompatible, using super AOSP kernel remove the prob, but i prefer original kernel..
