Anyone going?

Also, did anyone go to the one last year? was it any good? I'm planning on going over on the Friday (hopefully my shop won't be too busy so i can stay for a while and look around).

Very excited for my first baby expo biggrin.gif

Oh divas, how many months pregnant are u?

U need someone to go with u as the situation is crazy.

11am whole mid valley including gardens parking full.People pushing around in the exhibition area, strollers being pushed around without care and hurting other peoples feet. Kiasu mummies pushing other people around...

I went at 9.30am last year and people was queuing outside to get in. I was heavily pregnant and end up not buying anything cuz I cannot stand the crowd.

What do u intend to buy at the expo? Some items are Worth the hassle but some r not.

Uhoh sounds like chaos ( i guess most expo's are though). I'm only 21weeks so not too bad. Was planning on just looking round this one and then maybe going to the one in June or July (forgot which) to pick up some things closer to the time if it was worth it.

Its ok, my husband is coming with me, he always watches out for me in big crowds.

i have been to 2 of the parenthood/baby expo so far, and i must say the crowd is overwhelming, and most of the items are not worth the hassle, in my opinion...

CDs u can get discounted rates, but u know, it will mostly be stock clearance items..if i get to know of any particular sale, i will let u know

We are planning to brave it anyway. Good to be prepared for busy crowds, but as (also) first time parents, we think it would be useful to see a lot of products all in one place just to get a good idea/comparison.

Good luck to all going biggrin.gif.

Been quite busy since Friday, so no time to post. Just wanted to share. We went to expo on Friday morning til mid afternoon. Wasn't too badly crowded (not as bad as i expected from everyone's comments) and altough there were a lot of pushchairs, tummy bumps and bags around, there was enough space between stalls for us to get through without too much difficulty.

Picked up a couple of cloth diapers to start my collection (although i didn't really see any that were amazingly cheaper than you could get them online, it was nice to be able to feel them before buying for the first time). Also picked up one of the things i wanted but isn't really a necessity (basically my husband treated me to a present, lol) which was a Graco Playpen, that really was going for a great deal less than it is avaliable elsewhere so felt it was worth picking up.

Apart from that, all of the big Breast pump companies were represented as well as most of the other main brands for the general things like strollers/cots/bottles/clothes etc. I'm sure there were other things but that was all i noticed as i had specific things that i have already researched and so was looking out for.

All in all we had a good time at the expo and plan on going to the next one (depending on how i'm feeling by then) to maybe see if we can pick up a few more things at cheaper prices before D-day. My only regret was that i didn't look through the 'welcome pack'/'guide book' before walking round so i missed out on a couple of gift bags from some of the stalls (i'm a real sucker for free things, even if it is something i will never use or already have loads of, i still get excited over it... hence the goody bag treasures such as a pack of kleenex and 2 sachets of heinz ketchup was like christmas morning over our quick lunch break biggrin.gif).
