Have you already tried the reset method by pressing and hold both sleep and home button for 10 seconds or more? What have you done before this problem occur? I would think so, but at least I had charge it for half an hour already. This post has been edited by BadImpression: Apr 28 2011, 09:33 AM

You could put it in DFU mode and roll back to the prior OS.
Youll need the previos IOS .ipsw file, which you can find on your computer or try googling...
Here’s how to enter DFU Mode in iPhone, iPad and iPod touch:
1. Power on the iPhone, iPad or iPod touch if it’s in off state. 2. Connect the device to computer via USB cable or dock. 3. Run and open the iTunes program so that user will be notified when device enters DFU mode. 4. Press and hold Power or Sleep-Wake and Home buttons simultaneously for 10 seconds. 5. Release the Power or Sleep-Wake button and continue holding the Home button for 10 to 60 more seconds. 6. Wait until iTunes detects and recognizes the iDevice in DFU Recovery mode with notification message or system sound indicating hardware connect or disconnect.

@ BadImpression the people here are getting really technical and getting you to *fix* your iPad. I think they're wrong. Here's a simple method. 1. ensure your iPad has sufficient battery power. plug it in and leave it to charge for an hour. 60 minutes. don't use it, just charge. 2. after one hour, switch it on. if nothing happens after pressing the home button or the sleep / wake button, you may need to restart iPad. to do this, hold both the home button & sleep / wake button, until you see the Apple logo. Release the buttons. Wait till iPad displays the lock screen. 3. If you still see the Apple logo after ~5 minutes, you will need to restore iPad. Apple > How to restore

Try another wall socket ! Strange but true ! Otherwise , use a tooth brush to clean your iPad charging socket , might have some dust bunnies in it

Did you charge your iPad more than 6 hours? If yes, then try to boot up and if unable to boot up, then just restore your iPad via iTune. FYI: restore will wipe out everything in your iPad If no, then continue charging ...
