QUOTE(xandras @ May 3 2011, 10:02 PM) Hi, welcome to PPLYNC. If it's just a minor service, anywhere will be fine. But if u're planning on bringing ur own lube, then CoSE is the best bet. Important things to take note? Your service should only consist of 3 items. Engine oil, oil filter & drain plug. Anything other than this (Magnatrap, X1R) is unnecessary, and may almost double up the service cost. Alright gotcha! Quick question though, i dont know if anyone is experiencing the same problem. #1 Sometimes when I break, usually on the way home from work (after the car being idle for 8+ hours), the breaks has a screeching sound. Then after driving for like 20-30 minutes, sound goes away, whats the problem ar? #2 Each time i fuel up, when I click the pump to auto, it fuels up half way, and then stops there. Have to manually 'picit' a few times all the way till its full. haha. not sure if you guys know what im talking about. appreciate the response once again. cheers.

QUOTE(xandras @ May 4 2011, 12:10 AM) Wanna join us at PPLYNC? State ur car colour, M/H/B line & Transmission please. #1 When u drive around, the brake pads or the metal brackets gets heated up, thus it expands. When it expands, the bracket does not come in contact with the brake rotor, thats why u dun get the noise after warming up. Solution? Bring ur car to SC or tyre shop to have them skim the edges of the brake pads. #2 Tank design flaw. This happens because the tube in the fuel nozzle detects the tank as full. Try tilting the nozzle a little bit. Can't do anything to solve this. Added on May 4, 2011, 12:25 amATTENTION TO ALL H-LINE OWNERS!!
Rear brake pads are available for the same price as the front!! Means if you would like to have the rear brake pads as well, the total cost will be RM 260!! PLEASE CONFIRM WITH ME BY TONIGHT AS I'M MAKING THE ORDER TOMORROW, FIRST THING IN THE MORNING!!
MEMBERS WHO JOINED THE BULK ORDER SHOULD RECEIVE THE BANKING DETAILS BY TONIGHT. PLEASE CHECK YOUR PM!!Rapid Stop 550'C Brake Pads. Front only, RM 130. For H-Line owners with rear disc brakes, if you want the rear brake pads as well I'll have to ask for a different quotation from the dealer. For now the bulk is for front brake pads only.

Pros of RS: 1. Higher working temp. 2. Doesn't need to warm up first every time u start ur car to provide immense braking power. 3. Less fading, lasts longer. 4. Less brake dust than OEM pads. 5. Price.
Cons of RS: 1. Needs bedding in. 2. Not so well known like MKT. 3. Can be spongy if not bed in correctly.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Q. Are the brake pads good enough for my fast & furious driving characteristics? A. Yes, definitely more than good enough as these are high temperature brake pads. As long as it's bedded in correctly, it will work better than most pads of the same price.
Q. What's bedding in? A. Bedding in, or burnishing in, is an important process that must be carried out in order to ensure that the brake pad compound can properly mate with the rotor surface. If done correctly, it creates a nice, even, transfer film of pad compound on the rotor surface.
Q. Will it affect my warranty? A. No, as the warranty for our cars does not cover wear and tear items such as brake pads and tyres.
Q. Is it better than other well known brake pads such as Bendix MKT & Ceramic Nao? A. I can't say much here, but I've personally tried MKT on another car, it doesn't satisfy my braking needs. I haven't tried Ceramic Nao before though, so I can't comment much.
If possible, a TT will be held where buyers will be given their brake pads and will be taught on how to bed in the brake pads accordingly & evenly.
RM 130 only, need at least 10 members here to get bulk price. Might be able to get cheaper if more people join the bulk.

The bulk order will be left open till Tuesday, May 3rd @ 11:59 P.M.. As soon as the order is closed, members will be required to bank in the FULL AMOUNT (RM130) into a Maybank account. Of course, if you would like to bank in earlier, you are welcomed to do so as this will speed up the ordering process if there are 5 or more people who pay for the brake pads in advance.
So far 7 members has already paid the full amount for the brake pads, I will need at least another 1 member to pay up front the full amount to make the order.
PLEASE TAKE NOTE OF THIS and try not to delay the payment as to not consequently delay the delivery of the brake pads.
Thank you.
The names that are striked out are those who have already paid the full amount for the brake pads.Alright! thanks for the input! will be going to SC this weekend. Sure i'll join, but i'm at a total lost when I'm reading the post about all the nitty gritty stuff. Heck, i don't know the car internals well at all. I only know car models haha! So maybe someone can recommend the basic changes to make to my car? - for higher performance and efficiency lah. ---> Genetic Silver M-line (AT) Elegance Added on May 4, 2011, 12:30 pmAlso, anybody went to SC at mutiara damansara before? any good? nearest to my place lah. QUOTE(xandras @ May 10 2011, 02:27 PM) In Singapore there's a rule if I'm not mistaken; u have to switch on the signal light 5 secs before turning into a junction/lane, and if u left it on for more than 15 secs without turning u can be deemed as posing a danger on the road for other road users, and kena saman. Okay lah, i confess. Sometimes i put signal 1-2 second then keluar edi. Lane empty mah =(
