QUOTE(vccy @ May 10 2011, 09:57 PM) use a sucker pump to suck the old solder. Btw soldering is not a problem for me. I am quite pro in it. But the disassemble part is a bit pain in the a**. yes, but the sucker must be the small one and the tip has to be small. because the round knob plastic can't place in the sucker and solder in the same time. |

QUOTE(MovingMachine @ May 11 2011, 02:58 PM) Anyone still have the metal knocking sound eventhough the power steering assembly pail already got the rubber ? My one when going through holes on straight line will have metal knocking sound. Usually is when turn right will have but mine straight also got. [attachmentid=2208224]Just my 2cent, i found that the engine bonet support stand , the iron rod when keep folded down and go through uneven road it will make the knocking sound also. |

The CVT make remind me the Turbocharged Campro for Exora, but it was CPS + CVT instead of IAFM+CVT, i dig out some spec for the Exora.:
[attachmentid=2210470] Valve Mechanism DOHC 4 Cylinders 76mmx86mm bore x stroke 1561 cc 9.5:1 compression ratio 103kw @ 5000RPM = 138hp @ 5000RPM 205Nm @ 2000-4000RPM Multi POint Injection fuel system [attachmentid=2210471] |

QUOTE(ZenGTMM @ May 12 2011, 09:22 PM) maximum hp handling of 98kw @6000rpm and engine speed of 800-6000rpm only doesnt suit with Campro engines leh.. yeah spec no so ngam, but heard that it will be from the same manufaturer Punch powertrain maybe Proton this time getting the outdated model again hai... Campro redlines at 6500RPM and theoretical rev cut at 7250RPM.. So definitely this gearbox would be overworked. |

QUOTE(xandras @ May 13 2011, 05:50 PM) 1. The common design flaw, aircond vent rattling noise. This noise is caused by the loose fins on the aircond vent. When the blower blows air out of the vent, the fins vibrate, thus emitting some rattling noise. Solution? Either u leave the vents closed, or fit the sides of the vents with sponge to prevent it from rattling. 2. This 1 I found out myself when I was DIY-ing my car's HU. The mouse-making-love noise that u hear when going over uneven road. This noise is emitted from the aircond blower behind the car's radio. It's a black plastic scope that channels air to the aircond vent. The fit and finish on this plastic scope is not that good on certain PEs, so when the aircond is switched on and cold air start to rush through this scope, the plastic shrinks. The noise is caused by the 2-pieces of plastic rubbing against each other on the joint. If u heard the sound, u may try to prove this by switching off the aircond when u're travelling under the hot sun (wind down ur windows when u're doing this, I don't wanna get sued for causing u to suffocate & die from heat). After like 15 mins or so, the noise will miraculously disappear. I found out about this while removing the HU in my car when I suddenly remembered about the noise. Started pressing around the plastic parts of the aircond scope and found the culprit. Solution? Replace the whole 2-piece plastic scope. Might need to remove the whole dashboard to do so. |
