problem mine pumped with the nitrogen air... have to go back to the shop le.... can i pump at those pertrol station ? the mechanic told me it would damage my tires wor in long term... really or not?
*
Can lah. The air u breathe in also contains nitrogen what. The difference is just the expansion level only. If u're worry, flatten ur tyre then inflate it again using purely air from petrol station.

Alrite buddy.

QUOTE(summer9uy @ May 2 2011, 10:46 PM)
Hey where and how does the IAFM module looks like?
This morning i notice during cold start there is like knocking sound when I rev the engine. But after warm up for like 2 minits, sounds gone..
*
I suppose u know where ur extractor is? Like a reflection of the mirror, ur IAFM is located behind the engine block. It looks exactly like the stock extractor except that it's made of plastic.

QUOTE(summer9uy @ May 2 2011, 11:01 PM)
ICIC. it seems that IAFM module can't last long? I notice kinda rough. Unless really the tak tak becomes loud only will know its faulty. Mine after warm up, no sound already..not sure is IAFM or the belt thingy.

Need to take leave to visit SC..sien..

When it becomes worst, all the while can here the TAK TAK sound?
*
Already stated in 1st page 1st post. U should go get it checked. The sound will be gone after u warm up ur engine, but when it gets more severe the noise will be there permanently.

Rapid Stop 550'C Brake Pads. Front only, RM 130. For H-Line owners with rear disc brakes, if you want the rear brake pads as well I'll have to ask for a different quotation from the dealer. For now the bulk is for front brake pads only.

user posted image

Pros of RS:
1. Higher working temp.
2. Doesn't need to warm up first every time u start ur car to provide immense braking power.
3. Less fading, lasts longer.
4. Less brake dust than OEM pads.
5. Price.

Cons of RS:
1. Needs bedding in.
2. Not so well known like MKT.
3. Can be spongy if not bed in correctly.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Q. Are the brake pads good enough for my fast & furious driving characteristics?
A. Yes, definitely more than good enough as these are high temperature brake pads. As long as it's bedded in correctly, it will work better than most pads of the same price.

Q. What's bedding in?
A. Bedding in, or burnishing in, is an important process that must be carried out in order to ensure that the brake pad compound can properly mate with the rotor surface. If done correctly, it creates a nice, even, transfer film of pad compound on the rotor surface.

Q. Will it affect my warranty?
A. No, as the warranty for our cars does not cover wear and tear items such as brake pads and tyres.

Q. Is it better than other well known brake pads such as Bendix MKT & Ceramic Nao?
A. I can't say much here, but I've personally tried MKT on another car, it doesn't satisfy my braking needs. I haven't tried Ceramic Nao before though, so I can't comment much.

If possible, a TT will be held where buyers will be given their brake pads and will be taught on how to bed in the brake pads accordingly & evenly.

RM 130 only, need at least 10 members here to get bulk price. Might be able to get cheaper if more people join the bulk.

QUOTE(Bryaner @ May 3 2011, 12:07 AM)
erk.. seriously.. what is WHP?? makes me blur and feel like wan to know it><
*
WHP = Wheel Horse Power.
HP/BHP = Horse Power/Brake Horse Power.

Let's say our car, Persona.

Our car's engine produce 110 BHP (Brake Horse Power). This figure is ultimate, before power loss is accounted for. Power loss may be caused by the alternator, water pump, power steering pump, and for our PE, the biggest loss is at the automatic gearbox.

WHP is Wheel Horse Power. WHP is, as the name explains itself, horse power that is read from the dyno itself. This figure is obtained after including the power loss from parts and accessories that are stated above.

BHP - Power loss = WHP.

Which means, a car may make more horsepower on the engine, but when the power is put down to the wheels, it may be reduced accordingly.

For our PE, we have 110 BHP, but only ~75 WHP for auto gearbox and ~90 WHP for manual.

so what said you Xan ?

hmmmmmmmmmm or should i need to record the video again ??

Many reasons why ur engine sounds rough. 1st, because u FnF very often. 2nd, maybe ur IAFM is making 90% of the noise u heard.

It's not exactly possible for u to hold the IAFM valve without jacking up the car.. Just send it to SC, see how they check..

When is ur holiday then? For minor service it's safe to do it at normal sc. Try trend point at jalan tun razak. They allow u to choose between petronas n shell. Avoid shell at all cost.

Hi guys!

New persona owner here. Going for my first 1000km service.
Any good SC to recommend around PJ area?
staying in TTDI, can only afford to go to SC during weekends.
Also, any important things to take note of when going for my first service?

i tried the search functions on this but got no results.
appreciate the input.
*
Hi, welcome to PPLYNC.

If it's just a minor service, anywhere will be fine. But if u're planning on bringing ur own lube, then CoSE is the best bet.

Important things to take note?

Your service should only consist of 3 items. Engine oil, oil filter & drain plug. Anything other than this (Magnatrap, X1R) is unnecessary, and may almost double up the service cost.
