I'm back to whatsapp. I saw a way to really kill the task when u dowan it to auto connect. Install KILLME, then go to the first page and choose whatsapp, and press terminate. it wont auto connect. guarantee.

i nvr encounter whatsapp using up all the data quota and online all the while, and the data usage damm puny. I got nearly 2000 messages sent/received thru whatsapp and the total usage up to now just 5mb for 4 months.

It uses the ram a lot. Or maybe nokia chat is the problem?

using about 3.67mb of ram. No problem at all with it. One problem with whatsapp is that we cannot receive emoticons from android/ios version. The emote will becomes some unicode character.
But after all it is still under Beta stage for android and symbian.

Thank you, i wanted to know that.

To those in the same boat as I am who waited for PR 1.2 from the reply here it seem that there is  a possibility that Nokia Malaysia as lazy bum will like to skip this altogether and ask us to wait for Pr 2.0. Will try to do as advised as I used MS Exchange,

Re: Official Nokia N8 PR1.1/PR1.2 Software Release Schedule

Hi,

I've just replied in the PR1.2 thread as well. PR1.2 was an optional update, so most of the countries/operators don't range it. If it's not visible in my release schedule it's highly unlikely that Malaysia won't do it anymore but instead wait for Symbian Anna that has all the content included as well.

If your sync problem is related to Mail for Exchange, try changing the settings. I'm no technical expert but the following things has at least solved my sync problems:

Open MfE > go to Options > go to Mail for Exchange > What to sync > change "remove mail" to "after 1 day" - and that sorted it for me...

I bet Anna will be the last update we will ever receive.

Hi all need to ask something. If my phone feels laggy without a known reason, would a soft reset helps fix it?

That would be whatsapp and nokia chat. I've uninstalled both, not working. But really i think the problem started when i downgraded my qt. since then it got laggy and got worse after i install whatsapp and nokia chat.
So would a soft reset helps?
