I quite understand how you feel. I've been a Nokia supporter for the past 15 years of my life and it's a sad day for Nokia when a user like me to finally decide to jump ship to a better OS. The cam on the N8 is great but the cam on my current phone is not bad either. Just need to compensate a little, that's all.

All these hype happens because of "free" phones; If the rangers never get "free" stuffs, then it will not be the same. That's why somethings is best not to reveal because no matter what, people will look differently and there're many types of people around. Anyway, when they first ask, they never mentioned anything about freebies, they only say attend launching, get information and so on; I also ask about any obligations or requirements, commitments, etc. there was none. The 'free' phones comes as a surprise.
I'm also have privilege for invitation for launching, information for another different product; it doesn't mean there must be free stuff only join or anything.

I'm not sure how many are active, but not necessary must post something meaning active, reading without posting is nobody knows. Plus, the rangers were NOT only from N8 forum, there're N900 owners, and other thread members, basically mostly is the thread starter as they work the hardest and provide the most information, spend lots of their time contributing without asking anything in return. Even if they didn't maintain it anymore, it doesn't mean their past work should be forgotten, they may have a family or busy with their life/work, etc.

As for revoking the "priviledges"; I don't think it's a nice thing to say; If being a ranger for the sake of getting freebies, might as well say, no more freebies next time instead of keep changing the rangers? So, no need to fight who wanna become a ranger.
It won't end, there will always be people who're not happy and "comment" something.

Anyway, if those that are sooo keen, I think being a blogger gives you better "reward" and "opportunities"; You might get a lot more stuffs and sponsored by few companies instead of only Nokia.

aiya, we all this while knows andre and bufung speaks sarcasm already mah... since he's a regular here, he should have known it also, no need to bring up all this long long arguments... plus, to ppl who already get the taste of android + iOS, it's obvious that Symbian is very lacking and fell behind compared to them... sure, firmwares are coming up to patch things up, but still, it's slow... If the phone is really good, we would have said that it's good...

honestly, i don disagree completely with what he says.. there's a reason why they chosen ppl from only Symbian/Nokia forum as Nokia Rangers, their main marketing are just 'hey let's bring in some fanboy, give them new phones, and let them help us free promo in LYN'. Of course, we are also chosen because we are, or were active in these areas, and most of us proven to be rather helpful to others. It's not like he talks shit about the phone, it's like the phone doesnt really have much good to said about compared to the bads..

and dude, u really need to go so low as to pick up the slight mistake on the age calculation? that's pretty childish from someone to ask him get his mind up to his age... i don mean to start some argument here, but that's what i think from what i said

N8 => KING OF CAMERA PHONE!!! Best in Class and some say beaten P&S to it's knee!!!

duno whether u all feel it or not.. But i notice hot rich chicks are usually using iphone. At least from my observation. Or is it just me. Haha.
