So what is the 3DS and 3DS XL price in Sabah? I saw a post in lowyat sell 3DS XL for RM 790. Yet I thought 3DS XL is only for $ 200? which means after convert = RM 600+, even after transport fees then still aren't that expensive one right?

I am planning to buy a 3DS at the end of this year, but I am not sure whether to buy 3DS or 3DS XL. So can someone tell me the pros and cons of both for that I need to prepare my budget.

1. I read some thread about the scratch stuff that caused by the bottom screen on 3DS or the roller problem, so are these problem fixed in 3DS XL because of the bumper? And better roller in XL too?

2. As for the resolution of the screen, which one is better at playing NDS's game? 3DS or 3DS XL? As the NDS game is in smaller resolution, will it be pixelated if I am playing on 3DS or 3DS XL?

3. And about the 3DS XL accessories, are the silicon case or multi travel pouch available for sale? Because I want to keep my 3DS in perfect condition, and I won't touch the 3DS XL unless I put on the silicon case pr any other case so that the 3DS XL won't stay naked.

4. Can the hard cover pouch fit in the charger? For either 3DS or 3DS XL, or which other pouch can fit in the charger?

5. For the 3D problem, someone see blur image in 3DS XL but clear image in 3DS, let's assume that it os eyesight focus problem, so if I got the same problem, then should I stuck with 3DS without the need to consider 3DS XL?

I changed my region to US but I can't download any videos in Nintendo Video cz it said "service not available in your area." Any idea how to solve this?

for nintendo video, I know 2 ways to do it:

1. Using a vpn, free US vpn service like TunnelBear works very well, but your computer connected to the vpn need to be an internet server or setup a internet sharing connection, or have a wifi dongle that can do AP (access point). Then connect your 3DS to your wifi that pointed your vpn pc as a gateway. But nintendo video download those 4 video at random times, so im not sure when the 3ds will downloaded their video, or i could be wrong..

2. This maybe hard for a normal user, setup our own dns and webserver, this one is called a dns/web spoffing. It would be too long to explain how to do it but this works very well on my setup, yeah i have my own server run 24 hours in my house. If I have free time, I'm planing to move this to my dedicated server in US, so everyone can do this easily without the trouble headache setting up dns and web server part, just use my dns server ip (replace those google dns u been using 8.8.8.8 with my dns ip, u know google also been blocking and filtering the internet now) then nintendo video will work auto-magically.

I will let you all know when I'm done with this, maybe tonight I have free time.

Added on March 22, 2012, 2:21 amHey, I have done a working Nintendo Video clone/spoff dns and website server, up and running in my dedicated server, so if you guys want to use this, just set your dns server in your router wifi using my dns server ip which are 184.22.4.38 or/and 184.22.4.37, simple as that!!

I dont have a ASI 3DS machine, but if you set the region as US it should be work, need a tester from you guys. The request from US 3DS set that I have setup is "http://pubus-p.est.c.app.nintendowifi.net/1/49/1/", if your have the knowladge on how or what the 3DS request the web access url, please let me know if it request from different url so I can add it to the list.

The content of 4 videos in my server will syncronize with the official Nintendo Video server everyday at 4.09AM Malaysia time.

If this doesn't work with your 3DS please let me know, along on which region your 3DS machine is and which country you set in it.

Hey there.. I'm looking to get myself a Flame Red 3ds probably in December (as an incentive to studying like mad for STPM... ). Went to a few physical stores already and I noticed these small 'round stickers' on the 3ds boxes and sometimes on the games too.

Some of them are red, while others green. Do these stickers tell you anything about the console's region or something?

And, aside from the serial number.. is there any other way to determine the console's region? It's because there's this particular shop that I went... I asked the shopkeeper about the console's region, and the first thing he told me that the regions doesn't matter, and he *thinks* he's selling the US ones..eek. 

I've been following this thread (like a ninja..  ) and I know that if I bought the JPN one then I can only play JPN games. Which is why I'm aiming for the US sets...

Hoping that all of you can enlighten me on this...

The serial number of ASI sets starts with...? I know US ones starts with CW..

2) Aside from downloadable games and their demos, videos, applications.. .what else do they offer? Do you find yourself going to the e-shop often?
3) 'Coins' and 'credits' are two different things... right? If so, what are the differences? Just making sure...
4) And lastly (I hope), when you get the 3ds, are there any 'specific checks' that has to be done..? I mean, like... aside from checking whether the buttons, the touchscreen and speakers work...

Is it true that when you buy an original 3ds game, it will automatically help to update your 3ds console into the latest firmware? (haha, I hope I got the terms right.. )

They're so many casings out there: silicon casing, crystal casing... What are the differences between them?  I know what they look like, but function wise..they should differ in terms of protection, right?

Btw I'm gonna get myself a hard pouch for the 3ds though...so, no worries.. ^.~

And do I really need a spare stylus? I think the given stylus is robust enough...but, is it really necessary?

It's resistive man, when you need to use your nails means its not that sensitive to fingertips like smartphone nowadays, I wonder why they didn't implement the capacitive touch screen when they came out with the 3DS since they have been using the resistive one since the first NDS.

On an unrelated note, I just got my hands on the Yoobao Power Bank after 2 months of waiting but sadly it doesn't come with a NDS connector, anyone knows where I can get the usb cable for it? andrewcha told me that Daiso might have it but I would want a definitive answer. Thanks in advance.
