Dear all,

Anyone tried the above services before?

I have Astro subscription, but only watch Disney / Cartoon channels (is a kind of waste). So is thinking to terminate my Astro and use XBOX as console to watch those TV above.

When I login to Zune.net, I found Disney channels, but after I sign-in, all the channcels are gone, it is only available in the US sad.gif

PPSTREAM is not a good choice, because I want english channels, or at least english + chinese.

Thanks In Advance.

For Espn 6 (XBL exclusive)

tried it and its a really good service if ur staying in the US. Like my dad who only watch sports channel, its a very cheap alternative (RM150 /yr) for him plus u get extra and better coverage compare to astro

Bad thing, its only for 'certain' US Ips

VPN does work, if however i was lucky to pick the right service. Most VPN doesnt.
ESPN6 apparently is the main highlight why XBL is a better choice for americans whom all this years are relying on cable for news/sports. Apparently, a lot of american decide to cancel their cable subscription and stay on XBL as a cheaper alternative.

For Zune (XBL exclusive)

Zune is a video marketplace for streaming and downloading movies/ tv series. I could say not very item is IP locked, but any VPN would do to stream it.

Bad thing is those movies/tv series arent really cheap compare to astro. Some new movies cost 1600mspoints (~USD$20) and 2400mspoints (~USD$30) to download and keep them, rent & stream, the price tag is usually price at 1/2 to 1/4. For an average joe, its cheap.

i managed download the 1 season of simpsons, 1260mspoints ( ~USD$15.75). Well astro might be a better choice for convenience, although u need to suscribe to astro for 3 1/2 months to finish off 1 season.

well hope this helps. If ur type that doesnt want to VPN, u can forget it. its not available outside of US/CA. If u dont mind VPN, u will appreciate XBL and provide a very good value.

For netflix (XBL, PSN+)

Netflix is a nice addition to xbl... but unlike PSN. Its crippled by SONY whom owns a chunk of Most of the movie industry including Netflix and Columbia Pictures. So the timed exclusive are usually given to PSN.

To used it u need a US postal address (for billing and personal info) and a US credit card. USD7.99 for the minimum package and its IP locked. The only service i didnt bother to use.

For Last.fm (XBL exclusive)

radio on ur console.... yeah... but IP locked to US/CA/UK resident sad.gif . Everything u need, and similar to last.fm.
doesnt offer scrobble ingame.... suxxor... But recent Test drive unlimited 2 intregret them
