squarebox, love your minifig pix! they are great, especially the one titled "themeet" - just love the way you set up the samurai vs red indian!

as for Lego shopping in SIN - how does Simply Toys compare? are they marked up higher than retail or is it the same pricing as the Toys R Us, etc?

cheers and keep the pix coming ! rclxms.gif

yes, the figures can be removed from the magnet base.

that is how i got my first Darth Maulminifig as it was impossible to get the minifig until now - with the new SW releases

Sauron76: nope, it is very easy to remove the minifig as the magnet brick is the same size as a 4x2 but it has a 2x1 plate in the middle which is where you stick the back legs of the minifigs so it looks like the minifig is standing on the brick

unfortunately i have not mastered out the art of attaching pix otherwise you would be able to see what i mean

kukubeh: it is a lot easier to get the minifigs from the magnet than the keychain - which is a lot harder due to the keyring attachment, no such probs with the minifigs. The best thing abt the magnet is that when you get bored of the same old fig - just change them smile.gif

my bad guys, sauron, kukubeh, cruiseantz, et al

i wasn't aware of the changes from Jan 2011 to glue minifigs to the magnets, a bit of a shame really. but the good thing is that from what i read, there will be markings to say that the figures are glued ie: feet to base and body to legs! my magnets were all pre-2011

also Sauron posted the link of how to remove them, makes for a nice read

has anybody heard more about the Lego event organised by TRU at the Bangsar Village Shopping Centre? The TRU brochure says there will be a huge Lego Santa, a Lego showcase plus a Star Wars R2D2 Build - but no more details on that, not even from their website.

does anyone know more about this event?
