8043 or 8258 or 8070? i'm thorn between these three... 8070 - Power Functions, 1000++ pcs, cheapest between all three 8258 - Power Functions, current largest count for Technic 8043 - PF and RC, big piece count, I still don't have tracked Technic set hmmmm

QUOTE(cruiseantz @ Jun 27 2011, 10:00 AM) Personally, i love 8043(2 IR remote contol, 4 PF motor)...That will be my 1st priority( & i don't mind to have 2 sets of these, currently hv 1 only), followed closely by 8258 due to it massive design & complex controller( i have 2 sets of these )....but, didn't have chance buying the 8070, but very soon...or perhaps reserved the money, get the unimog yeah..i have the same idea as you...8043 is massive with it's complicated gear sets...plus it's RC function... must save up also for 8110..must save up

QUOTE(vinoviruz @ Jun 29 2011, 04:09 PM) guys, if i were to custom make display casing made from acrylic...to fit exactly 16 figs...how many of u guys would want it? & how much maximum to pay per display case... then i'll go & get the price, for a 1st time bulk purchase, then single quantity for price for future s5, s6, etc... because i deal with the acrylic guys all the time, i can even draft out the base height, cover height, etc... p/s: i dont make money one ah...just thought of getting a display fit for 16 figs...so if to ship to u guys from penang, u guys need to settle the courier ya great idea... if bigger acrylic case (example for Technic set), can u get a simple quote estimation price? i'm thinking of those picture/glass work shops...saw once they make glass case for souvenir etc...

some info on the 8110 Unimog U400 U400 review @ EurobricksEurobricks official 8110 thread» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Very bad news : it seems the 8110 has been withdrawn from the Lego stores (basically the only place where it is possible to get the set at the moment).
According to the Lego employees, a pneumatic part would have some problems. Since the classic cylinder, the small cylinder and the switch are used for many years, I think these parts are ok. So, the problem could come from the new compressor (keep in mind it is not the same as the one we used to know in 8049 and 8868).
And this make sense since it is the compressor (and especially its join) which is constrained when the pressure is too high. The join has to leak, to let the air go. And that may damage the join, and so the compressor.
The delay caused by this problem on one of the pneumatic parts could be a good opportunity to fix the problem on the front panhard rod (if it turns out that this panhard rod has indeed a problem).
We should learn more about all of this in the next days...
