Well, i believe all new magnet sets (from mid 2011 [[starting from Pharoah Quest series?]] & above) will be glued. hence, detaching it from magnet base will be difficult.

QUOTE(fess66 @ Jul 23 2011, 09:45 AM) my bad guys, sauron, kukubeh, cruiseantz, et al hehehe..no worries, sharing is caring :-) i wasn't aware of the changes from Jan 2011 to glue minifigs to the magnets, a bit of a shame really. but the good thing is that from what i read, there will be markings to say that the figures are glued ie: feet to base and body to legs! my magnets were all pre-2011 also Sauron posted the link of how to remove them, makes for a nice read |

i just go into aquarium hobby recently after years of dark ages (way back 17 years ago)...as my wife insisted it, bought a mid-size tank & start off small fishes. Planning to get bigger tank(& also looking for space) for lego+live fish aquarium. My wife sure gonna kill me for that 'crazy' investment later hahahaha.

such a big mistake that i bought Mega Block UNSC Active-camo Spartan (Halo) recently...very flimsy, & not easily articulated although it bonded with magnet at critical joints. oh well, that rm80 toy just down the drain too as some parts already missing after my son toying with it huhuhuhu. So, the clear winner will always be:
Nothing beats Lego :-) |

QUOTE(vinoviruz @ Sep 19 2011, 11:16 AM) silica gel cannot prevent termite infestation la dude...but the silica gel can control humidity in the packing... i believe vacuum seal in plastic bags will safe the box termites infest in dark cool moist environment...products such as the "thirsty hippo" are also design to absorb moisture...u get the connection between silica gel & termites now? but bear in mind that even though with silica gel, it wont guarantee a non-termite infestation...it will reduces the risk only... |
