Understanding your Eye Contour
To achieve this look, you would need to know the parts of your eyes, or how you are going to place your colours. Lets start with the inner corners of your eyes and brow bones which are highlighted in yellow. These parts are best done with your lightest colour. Use pearly whites or beige if you want to keep it more natural. Contours gives depth and you will have to use something darker to achieve this effect. By doing this, you actually create an illusion of deepset eyes which is really good if you want a wide eyed look. On your lids which is highlighted in pink use a shade darker than your highlights or two shades if you like, but dont do it dark. It defeats the purpose of creating some depth to your peepers. The darkest colours should always be contributed to the outest corner of your eyes. Use dark browns or black even to achieve or create a wider looking eye.

Step 1
Start with a clean eye. Prep with base or concealer if you wish.Apply some shimmery shadow on the base, you can use a cream base shimmer to create a shinnier effect since we are going for a healthy look. Swipe some on your brow bones too.

Step 2
Start with the lids and apply your medium shade. Remember, either 1 or 2 shades darker than your highlights. I used gold for this effect

Step 3
using a windshield wiping motion, swipe your contour colour just above your eye sockets. You can find your sockets by placing a finger in the hollow between your lids and browbone. Gently blend it in with the gold on your lids. Be sure this colour does not go up to your brow bones. I chose a shimmery chocolate colour.

Step 4
Add your darkest colour at the outer corner of your lids. Create a V shape from the bottom of your outer lids and draw it upwards. Blend it in for a natural look. I chose an ashy brown for this.

Step 5
Line your upper lids with black pencil liner. It doesnt have to be a straight line as we are going to top it off with liquid liner. Skip this step if you are a pro at lining your eyes as this is served as a guideline for beginners.

Step 6
Repeat Step 5, accept do it on your lower lash lines. Smudge it with a cotton bud or a smudger for a smoky look. Remember not to draw the black liner all the way to the inner corners as we want this look to open up your peepers and in some cases, black liner near the inner corners can make your eyes a wee bit smaller.

Step 7
Take a white liner and line from the inner corners to meet up with the black liner in Step 6. See how this instantly opens up your peepers!

Step 8
Now that you have traced the outline of your top lids, go ahead and put on your liquid liner carefully drawing on the outline. Makesure it is as close to your lash line as possible for a more natural look.

Step 9
Tightline your upper and lower waterline with black kohl or pencil liner. This creates an illusion of fuller lashes. See the difference?

Step 11
Fill in your brows with a brow pencil. Use a shade or two lighter than your own brows as it looks more natural than an all black eyebrow. Plus its cuter biggrin.gif
