Well I've gotten the Razor Onza TE today, quick thoughts.
Very light, feels cheap. The face buttons have almost ZERO travel distance means VERY QUICK response. Dpad is useless in fighting games cause they're like four separate buttons. The tension adjustable sticks are interesting, you basically tighten it so that it takes more effort to move it... Does make it a bit tighter to control I guess.
One thing that worries me is how the manual talks about NOT to overtighten the joysticks for fear of damaging them.
Added on April 26, 2011, 9:12 amOne more very important thing which I should mention. Either the stick is a bit larger than normal, or it could be because I tightened the right stick to max...
My right hand felt cramped after a while, you know the kind of strain u feel when you stretch something for way too long? That kind of pain... Which is interesting.

hold the button behind the controller on the side of the button you want to reprogram. Then push the button you want to remap to. Notice when you hold the button behind a light will light up to say what its currently mapped to.
Oh, you can't map left thumbstick to right shoulder button though.
Well.. I guess you have to judge the worth of the controller yourself. The adjustable tension is an interesting feature, but I'll have to test more with and without tightening it to see how much it helps with my aim in Halo.
The programmable buttons are an interesting addition, I mapped left to crouch and right to jump when playing Halo, very interesting when you can jump and aim at the same time. but... If you're not used to it then you will hit it instead of the actual bumper buttons.
The instant press buttons might or might not make a difference for you, cause first you'd have to train yourself to know when you've actually pressed the button.
And of course... Its a Razer product with the word tournament edition slapped on it so of course it cost more :S
Added on April 26, 2011, 2:49 pmHmmm.. dont have very positive things about the sensitivity adjustment, will have to try and see.
Added on April 27, 2011, 2:11 amYikes, so... Changing the sensitivity does work. Imagine in Halo Reach sensitivity of 3 & below becomes the usable ones, it becomes very very twitchy.
On the net the tournament players say that makes it worse, but I personally haven't played enough to say wheter its good or bad.

In short I'll have to say that it's worth a try if you're an FPS player wanting to experiment with some different tools. Not gonna be a magic bullet to make you get more headshots just like that.
