QUOTE(Nyanyanmeow @ Apr 26 2011, 12:24 AM) okay. without a screen protector, u can wipe of your smudges on the ipad quite easily with a lint free cloth(microfibre). So you recommend we do not apply any SP at all? Or any other better solution available without wearing out the coating?if u put the SP, and one day remove it, the oleophobic coating that makes it easy for u to wipe off all the smudges might be stripped off because of the SP adhesive. u will find it harder to cuci the screen. |

Depends on usage i think , still will get scratch but i think its not so easy. Even my blackbery screen serve me well without any SP , machines guys told me their ipad demo set has been there for 6 months , with over hundreds hand touching it everyday yet it is still scratchless. LOL

QUOTE(Nyanyanmeow @ Apr 26 2011, 08:24 AM) because i know i can take care of them all rather nicely I quite agree on this, sometimes I find those cases, jackets, etc just spoil the industrial design of the device and destroy the handling experiences.it's not like i'm too kedekut tu buy, but i love my items the way they are. as it is. |

I scratch my camera screen once and I swear to myself that I'll put screen protector to it the first day I got it.

I have an ipad with screen protector on it, but the feeling with sp is not as great. I try my cousin iphone without sp and its so much better feeling. His iphone is naked since he bought it 2 years ago but no visible scratches at all and he is pretty rough user.
Some times i wonder do we really need sp to protect the screen? How long do you think an ipad will last? 5 years? 10 years? Why are we protecting it? So that its re-sale value is higher? Yes, we might get a few scratches over its lifespan but is it worth putting a sp to protect it from a few scratches while sacrificing the better feeling all the time we use it( and yes we do use it a lot). Just my humble toughts |

QUOTE(fluffy6640 @ Apr 26 2011, 11:47 AM) which type are u getting dude? the newest is the ultra oleophobic right? saw reviews that say its quite nice, good balance of clarity and anti finger prints oleophobic doesnt mean that it will not cause fingerprint to stick. its just easier to wipe off. yes getting that one This post has been edited by frankietorda: Apr 26 2011, 12:05 PM |
