My Rig: I listen to my music on these devices: HTC Desire HD, Dell XPS M1530 (yes, the one with the incredibly crappy speakers tongue.gif )
Type of usage: Mostly music, some movies.
File format: mostly mp3s / what a regular consumer would listen to.
Music genre: lots of instrumental (take note), jazz-type songs, vocals, pop songs, a whole variety of others. However, I don't really listen to rap/R&B.
Budget: RM350 maximum.
Headphone/ earphone type: over-the-ear/full-sized headphones. (very firm with this. coz i have funny-shaped ears and the supra aural types hurt.)
Other requirements: looks nice? tongue.gif i work in the creative line so, eheh, aesthetics is kinda important to me. but it's no biggie if it's not. biggrin.gif

FYI I'm a total noob. I've never owned a pair of headphones above RM50 in my life. So thanks in advance to anyone who is willing to help me out!
I was thinking of Audio Technica ath-sq5, but I'm wondering if it's any good or if i could get something better with my maximum price range.

Fischer Audio FA-004.
Although for some people it's almost supra-aural. If you have smallish ears they are circum-aural definitely. For some they have to fold their earlobes a bit to get them inside.  laugh.gif  I guess Russian ears are a tad bit small then the rest of us.  tongue.gif

Otherwise, what calmshot just said, Shure SRH440.  biggrin.gif

wah, those look really nice drool.gif i likey!
approx. how much are these? i'll give these a try definitely!
yeah kinda concerned that it's not really full-sized, but if it turns out to be comfy for my weird ears, and i really like it, i'm willing to let it slide tongue.gif
thanks a lot!

I have a Grado SR60i and it has a 2m long cable, and it's longer than I am tall by 25cm.

I read a review a while back that it has a 1.25m cable. When I asked it has a 3m cable. Then many says that the FA-004 is a budget portable headphone. I'm rather confused.
But mods on almost any headphone is easily done. Maybe change the cable once warranty is out?  brows.gif

2 meters.. shocking.gif how exactly do you keep the wires.. er.. tame? or do you not travel/commute with them?
yeah, was thinking that eventually i'd wanna learn how to change the cable.. but i'm also quite ganas and clumsy, so there's a 50/50 chance that i'll kill it instead tongue.gif
