Need a recommendation to replace my Portapro

- My Rig:Laptop
- Type of usage:music/movies
- File format:mp3
- Music genre:classical/jazz/RnB/Country/Soul/OST
- Budget:~RM400
- Headphone/ earphone type:Portable Headphones
- Other requirements (if any):Preferably something with a similar sound signature as the px100 or portapro
*
Try Fischer Audio FA-004 or Fischer Audio Oldskool'70. FA-004 should have a sound signature that you like without muddy bass. Oldskool'70 is open back with Grado-ish sound.

Can help me with my req please?

- My Rig: Mobile devices. (Ipod/SGS2)
- File format: Non lossless
- Budget: Less than RM 2K (Splurge mode). Less than RM 1K (Saving mode) The cheaper the better
- Headphone/ earphone type: Earphone (earplug like those Koss SparkPlug)
- Extra Requirement: Bass Bass Bass!!!
Right now I am eyeing the UE Triple. Got poison testing it during a roadshow in MidValley. If not, I'll go back to Koss SparkPlug which is to me, the best bang for the buck.

Opinion anyone?
*
have you tried the bass on Fischer Audio Eterna? Your cheapest and most portable mobile disco. The clarity will make you appreciate lossless file. Try them out to believe. Best of all, it's only a quarter of your saving mode. Please do not let the price fool you, try them.

Boss, actually what already improved from Fischer Audio Eterna to Fischer Audio Eterna V2? Only heard before sounds warmer than V1. Others than that? keen to learn  biggrin.gif
*
Actually Eterna V2 bass is more controlled. There are ppl who prefered V1 for thier fun bass. Generally unless you are sensitive, the dofferences is minimal. Both has got the signature crazy bass. I am awaitimg for the Consonance which was said to have even wilder bass than Eterna. Also the Tandem - dual driver. Fischer Audio is real interesting for the personal audio market.

can suggest me a nice headphone + soundcard setup for deep bass? my combined budget should not be more than rm800, but it could go up more as i plan to sell my existing soundcard.

i currently have Prodigy HD2 + Sennheiser HD485.

i always like low and deep bass.
but the bass with my current setup is almost non-existent due to audiotrak driver not up to date with windows 7. Yes, audiotrak has windows 7 driver but cant adjust bass.

last time i used x-treme music creative and i kinda like its crystalizer and adjustable bass. but i sold the card already.

what i am looking for is basically:-
1. low and deep powerful bass (no distortion/crackling) i will mainly play .wav files
2. voice clarity
3. occasional gaming i will need 3D surround sounds to hear footsteps.
edit** okay i have searched over the internet, and i come out with these

Sony MDR-XB700 + Creative X-Fi Titanium HD

what do you guys think?

Sony XB700 + X-fi Titanium HD vs Prodigy HD2 + Sennheiser HD485  ??

will i regret after pruchase? hmm.gif

Consider this - Fischer Audio FA-011? http://www.head-fi.org/t/545368/review-fis...ff-the-deep-end

Hi, I'd like to seek some recommendation between these 2 models,

ex300 and xb40ex, IMO, both got equal pros and cons, I'll list some very important point between these 2 that made me having a headache which to choose

ex300, +balanced sound, -cable uses another extensions.
xb40ex, +no extension required, -extra bass not that good in other musics.

My Rig: ipod, laptop
Type of usage: music on ipod, connect to laptop for other purpose as well
File format: mp3, avi, etc
Music genre:trance, j-pop, etc. (sorry about this, don't know much)
Budget: 200-250
Headphone/ earphone type: Earphone (Earbud that uses silicone rubber/noise isolating phones)

Any suggestion would be great, I had previous MDR-EX33LP, it was great but the L-shaped connector got loose and it would be dead anytime soon... I prefer the L-shaped connector than the ordinary straight connector...

Thanks in advance
*
Try Fischer Audio Eterna. I owned EX33 long ago and I can assure you the Eterna is miles ahead of EX33 smile.gif

well... the figures in specs I mean, I do remembered I read something about this specs somewhere before and they says that

impedance = resistance to achieve maximum volume
frequency range = erm, maybe the range of sound we will hear? (I'm not very sure about this)
driver size = better qualities on larger sizes?
sensitivity = higher is better

well, I'm not too sure about these things actually, just some facts from some texts and others... and they said that it's much better if you try them out rather than overlook the spec only
*
Yes, you should try them out to know the comfort and the suitability of the IEM for your genre. Spec is only a small part of the total equation.

Hi all,

I am in the market looking for a new IEM. My old IE8 just failed me after 3 years of good service. I am looking for something with good clarity, good bass(I found the IE8 to be too bassy and muddy sometimes making the music too boring.), and most importantly good ISOLATION. (The old IE8 was really really really really bad at this!)

My budget is about $200 - 250. I had a few models in mind:
1. Shure SE315
2. Etymotic HF3
3. Brainwavz B2
4. Ultimate Ears UE700

Please advise. Thank you.

Fischer Audio Eterna makes things interesting. And the most interesting part is it's less than RM250

Hey guys, I've just recently paying attention to hi-fi audio and I would be glad if someone can offer me some of the good quality hi-fi headphone.

- My Rig: Asus Sabertooth x58
- Type of usage: Light listening (15-30 minutes) occassionally
- File format: Lossless Codec (e.g. FLAC)
- Music genre: Pop (C, J, K-Pop), Game, Orchestra, New Age, Gospel, Instrumental (dislike Electronic, Rock, or any music that have huge bass)
- Budget: RM500-RM1500
- Headphone/ earphone type: All except in-ear or ear-bud for comfort. Portability is not an issue here as long as the quality is good.
- Other requirements (if any): High-fidelity, one that can easily tell the diff. between poorly encoded 128Kbps MP3 and FLAC. No sound cracking. Comfort. Clear mid-high range.

Sidenote: Currently using Philips SHP2700 bought few years back. Hopefully the new upgrade will bring a significant differences to my ears.
*
Try the Fischer Audio FA-003. You will feel the difference immediately.
