Right now I am eyeing the UE Triple. Got poison testing it during a roadshow in MidValley. If not, I'll go back to Koss SparkPlug which is to me, the best bang for the buck.

Boss, actually what already improved from Fischer Audio Eterna to Fischer Audio Eterna V2? Only heard before sounds warmer than V1. Others than that? keen to learn

can suggest me a nice headphone + soundcard setup for deep bass? my combined budget should not be more than rm800, but it could go up more as i plan to sell my existing soundcard.

i currently have Prodigy HD2 + Sennheiser HD485.

i always like low and deep bass.
but the bass with my current setup is almost non-existent due to audiotrak driver not up to date with windows 7. Yes, audiotrak has windows 7 driver but cant adjust bass.

last time i used x-treme music creative and i kinda like its crystalizer and adjustable bass. but i sold the card already.

what i am looking for is basically:-
1. low and deep powerful bass (no distortion/crackling) i will mainly play .wav files
2. voice clarity
3. occasional gaming i will need 3D surround sounds to hear footsteps.

Hi, I'd like to seek some recommendation between these 2 models,

ex300 and xb40ex, IMO, both got equal pros and cons, I'll list some very important point between these 2 that made me having a headache which to choose

ex300, +balanced sound, -cable uses another extensions.
xb40ex, +no extension required, -extra bass not that good in other musics.

Music genre:trance, j-pop, etc. (sorry about this, don't know much)

Any suggestion would be great, I had previous MDR-EX33LP, it was great but the L-shaped connector got loose and it would be dead anytime soon... I prefer the L-shaped connector than the ordinary straight connector...

well... the figures in specs I mean, I do remembered I read something about this specs somewhere before and they says that

impedance = resistance to achieve maximum volume
frequency range = erm, maybe the range of sound we will hear? (I'm not very sure about this)
driver size = better qualities on larger sizes?
sensitivity = higher is better

well, I'm not too sure about these things actually, just some facts from some texts and others... and they said that it's much better if you try them out rather than overlook the spec only

Hi all,

I am in the market looking for a new IEM. My old IE8 just failed me after 3 years of good service. I am looking for something with good clarity, good bass(I found the IE8 to be too bassy and muddy sometimes making the music too boring.), and most importantly good ISOLATION. (The old IE8 was really really really really bad at this!)

My budget is about $200 - 250. I had a few models in mind:

Hey guys, I've just recently paying attention to hi-fi audio and I would be glad if someone can offer me some of the good quality hi-fi headphone.

- Type of usage: Light listening (15-30 minutes) occassionally
- File format: Lossless Codec (e.g. FLAC)
- Music genre: Pop (C, J, K-Pop), Game, Orchestra, New Age, Gospel, Instrumental (dislike Electronic, Rock, or any music that have huge bass)
- Budget: RM500-RM1500
- Headphone/ earphone type: All except in-ear or ear-bud for comfort. Portability is not an issue here as long as the quality is good.
- Other requirements (if any): High-fidelity, one that can easily tell the diff. between poorly encoded 128Kbps MP3 and FLAC. No sound cracking. Comfort. Clear mid-high range.

Sidenote: Currently using Philips SHP2700 bought few years back. Hopefully the new upgrade will bring a significant differences to my ears.
