Nobody answer your question because you did not post according to the format stated in the first post with all the necessary info. You had to be asked what are your sources, then you replied iPod. Now you and to be asked which iPod model? Type of music? Budget?

Hi bro, i have the Bowers & Wilkins P5, cost me $300 USD. Best sound quality i've ever heard in a pair of headphones, and the noise cancellation is excellent as well. Best thing is no batteries are needed. really nice build quality, and excellent for all types of music. I've tried lots of headphones for same price range (Sennheiser, Grado, etc.) but B&W blows them out of the water

I read the page 1 noise cancellation, is that where you block out outside noise?
Cause I want to block the noise from my parents talking and while they listen to radio in the car.
Can help or not?
As long just block my parents talking and other stuff. Cause usually I have to put my headphone on high volume.
Don't want to damage my ear, but later can hear my parents talk.  icon_question.gif
*
For noise cancellation, it is an active form of blocking external noise using electronics to pick up external noise and then generates a opposing signal to the headphones to cancel out the noise. You will need batteries for it to work.

Noise isolation is to use physical means like earcups, inears to block out external noise.

Obviously the previous is much more effective but it will cost much more as well.

Hi all,

I'm considering to get a new headphone, budget RM200±.
Most of the time I'll be using it for musics (all-range), with casual gaming.
Since I'll be putting on for a long time, so it must be comfort to my ears, and I wanted it to be closed-dynamic design.
AT-M30 and T500 sounds great, but I'd like to hear more from the audio-pros here.
Welcome to give me suggestions from other brands as well (or even offer me price here)
Thanks a lot!

Hi, I am looking to get a pair of IEM for my husband, I have no ideas about earphones so hope the sifu here can help me a little......

- Rig (iPod, iPad)
- Type of usage (80% Musics, 20% Movies )
- file format (mp3)
- genre (I don't know what he listens to... LOL but some rock, some pops and also oldies)
- requirements (IEM )
- Budget : less then RM1,000
Other requirements: He always said he doesn't want to hear outside noise and also doesn't want people to hear what he is listening to and he always stressed that he like the bass with the current earphones, so I guess bass is important

Thanks in advance for the recommendations smile.gif

Sorry for noob questions, whats the square-ish thingy that come with the earphones for? Wouldn't it be a bit hassle with that thing one?

That is the active noise cancellation. It uses electronics to counter outside noise achieving almost 90% isolation which normal in-earphones can't do.
