I got my MEElectronics M9 for RM70.
Quite satisfied with it but need a bit more burn-in to really know. On par with my drawer ridden Superlux HD381F and far better than my stolen Sony MDR-EX50LP.

Does a headphone has a better SQ than IEM/earbuds in the same

price bracket as with

"PC has better specs than laptop in the same price"?

- My Rig: Laptop, phone (which is my primary MP3 player)
- Type of usage: Lots of listening
- File format: Rarely lossless, mostly lossy
- Music genre: Heavy metal, trance, progressive rock, new wave. Lots of things, really.
- Budget: <RM100
- Headphone/ earphone type: I'd prefer IEMs because they offer isolation, which is something I desire. Living in a house with 6 others who occasionally blast their speakers makes me want to be able to listen to my own music in my own comfort.
- Other requirements (if any): The best bang-for-buck IEMs that I can get for sub RM100.

i thinking to buy sony MDR-ZX100 or  sony MDR ZX300

sony center midvalley and times square sell it. dunno if worth it or got other headphone better within price range. can help recommend and advise? tq. ^^

really? superflux and ifrogz really that good? will survey later. coz today i go audition those 2 sony model. sq quite nice, to bad bass not bassy, abit warm, treble is good, but feel like recessive, sound detail quite ok lor,  very light and comfortable. not crushing my head. 

They may be acceptable to the man in the street but the audiophiles think otherwise 

haha.. just bought ifrog nerve pipes at challenger the mines for RM69.90! now i totally agree with you. it knock out sony mdr-zx300 at RM99! but the cons it, i dont like the design. mine was gold chrome, got crown design. but wth. just bought it, listen to it, love it. 

guys! if you dont have budget, searching for good headphone within RM100 price range or lower, im totally recommend you ifrog nerve pipes earpollution. nvr regret.

thinking to get one before this. but cant afford the price. so sad. hd661 so beautiful with shining piano black. 

Superlux HD661. Good reviews from the web too. But almost skimmed the RM200 mark.

P/S: Speaking of headphones, anyone knows how to source for AKG K81DJ pads? Suitable types from other brands is accepted too.

Hey guys,

I am a newbie when it comes to headphones. Prior to this, I was using some "cap ayam" branded headphone for my movie needs. It seemed to work well for me but i would like to upgrade now. To compliment the headphone, I do have a soundboard attached to my computer. Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Surround 5.1.

99% of the time, i would be on the headphone. I don't use my speakers much.

95% of the time, the headphone would be used for watching movies, and 5% would be on games. I don't really listen to music while on the computer, so I don't really need a headphone that plays music fine. It should be optimal, mainly for movies.

My budget as stated, would be less than RM200. I am not particular about how it looks, since it would only be used at home. As long as its comfortable to the ears

Current'y what I have in mind is the MX680 and the CX680 , was wondering since in the website it says its designated for apple products , how well does it work with the sony mp4?
What's the difference between the MX680i and MX680?

It may not be a sports earphone but since the MX680 and CX680's earfins is removable , guess its not a problem , but how effective are the earfins?
