QUOTE(GenericMav @ Nov 26 2011, 10:55 AM) Oh. Not much improvements bro ? I'm thinking either these 2. Well I'm using itouch to listen and if I walk around of course it'll be in pocket . Also if I'm not mistaken the SJ55 had a L type 3.5 jack whereas ES55 is a straight one . Afraid I strain the wire when it's in my pocket . Im done with IEM because it always end up one side of the earpiece doesn't produce sound anymore |

QUOTE(MrAvatar @ Nov 26 2011, 11:05 AM) sj55 is a good choice for entry lvl..and it doesnt need an amp cuz it is build for portable..u better save money for something better then oni use amp Meaning is more worth to save and get the ES55 ? QUOTE(GenericMav @ Nov 26 2011, 11:11 AM) cheap iem always end up like that Well, i did try the SJ55, its just that when i crank the volume to around 70% i hear sharp trebles which is unpleasant. have you tried it with the itouch yet? if it sounds good already, you wont need LOD/amp for it amping would bring benefits if only you got a headphone that didnt sounds to its fullest (lets say.. at 80% ~ 100% volume) thats why im kinda considering an amp. by adding an amp for an ES55 would bring much more improvement compare to SJ55 ? |

so now dont know waht to look for, prefer any brand that is better than dr dre and good noise cancellation + stylish cause i will use it to go to class etc one last thing, budget of coz cheaper than beats by dr dre |

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Thanks for the extreamly loooooonngggg replyyy..... i hope that i can reply u back that long. from your reply, that makes me think that HD668B is not my type of headphone that ive been searchin for. and yet its true, after researchinng all the reviews. i also got the idea which headphone should i look through, its HD660 or HD440. but im not sure about HD681 and HD330. both of the headphones is sumthing good for rock genre (just refer on reviews) i think i already made my decision. im going for HD660, as review from headfonia "Say hello to the best Rock headphones under $100" Once again thanks for your reply, and others |

It is both suitable for rock and also much higher sound quality than an already so great HD668B. But the problem is that this headphone requires more amping power than HD668B because it is rated at 150ohm. (He make a mistake claiming it is 300ohm) The most stable amplifier for this type is via power supply type and not portable type because it is more voltage hungry than current. Added on November 26, 2011, 9:00 pm
should've asked in the headphone section but whatever~ many of them had said that surround headphones or virtual surround headphones sucks. you have to pay a huge sum of money if you want good ones. you either wait or buy normal stereo headphones with huge soundstage because normal stereo is good enough to act like a surround headphone if you buy decent ones

Unless you've external GCs, I don't see any problem.
Oops i did not see external i kept on thinking about xonar dg
Save your money and get a DAC instead. This post has been edited by Akuma no Hana: Nov 26 2011, 09:00 PM |
