- My Rig: ipod/iphone
- Type of usage: long listening/music during workout
- File format: mp3
- Music genre: Pop (C, J, K-Pop)
- Budget: <RM300
- Headphone/ earphone type:IEM
- Other requirements (if any): Need recommendations, hoping for heavy bass but not too heavy that obscure the mids and highs.
*
JBL REF225. Am personally using it in the gym as well. Good clear bass without drowning the mids and highs. The inline mic allows for call answer on your iPhone. nod.gif

QUOTE(Playboy21 @ Sep 23 2011, 04:59 PM)
This is what I posted a few days back, and I was told to get a AVG k330/340 model (Wasp), but after performing several Google searches, it became obvious to me that these models (330/340) very often malfunction. Lots of people mentioned about how their earphones failed them after just a few days/weeks/months. Failed = no sound from the left/right earphone.

Any ideas about this? Thanks guys.
*
Hahaha! You are most probably referring to this Jonathan guy's blog. Take everything on the net with a pinch of salt but anyway, it does come with 2 years warranty for driver failures.

Had to-date, sold no less than 100 units of the K330/K340. Warranty claims at less than 5%.

If you are familiar with the headphones industry or a check with decent hifi/headphones dealers around, you will find that the failure rate for AKG is among the lowest.

You may be better off at handphones related threads. Bluetooth's technology is still too far from entry level audiophile standards.

hi, I'm using Sennheiser HD555 nearly 3 years since i bought it. I want upgrade, but stuck between Sennheiser HD650 and AKG K701. Any recommendation?

- My Rig: Home amp, PC DAC
- Type of usage: music
- File format: original cd, wav, flac
- Music genre: pop, rock, instrumental
- Budget: below RM2000

read a lot review already, and make me more confuse sweat.gif
*
If you are the analytical type, who appreciate the finer details of music and prefer an exact replication of the recording engineer's mix down, go with the Q701. nod.gif Am personally using it biggrin.gif
