Hi guys,

I read that some of you guys can run xbmc gotham 13.1 without any problem. I tried on my q5ii emmc and xbmc got terminated right after i try to play a video from my library. the only way I can watch them now is to use the workaround which is using the default player.

Care to share how you guys do it?

"library" as in hdd playback via usb on xbmc?
that, i hv yet to see any clear procedure, perhaps need to root, null warranty, complicated things...??
most people just play with native player, all good.
but if u mean xbmc streaming (not use of usb/hdd), 13.1 gotham works well - but u must disable the mediacodec acceleration (under expert settings) in system->settings->video->acceleration.

yeah I mean play my movies from hdd. can't seem to play it with XBMC video player. have to use the workaround xml file to load video using the native player.

haven't tried the streaming as I dont really know any good one in english.

but i dun follow... hmm.gif

if using native player, why the need for any xml file?
just plug in the hdd into the usb port, play using media center or file manager, both are using same native player, all files will play smoothly.
or u mean some other player?

u haven't use xbmc to stream online movies and tv shows?
xbmc's main attraction is online streaming with addons like mashup, icefilms, 1channel, etc.

I mean I want to use XBMC built in player when playing movie from my hdd because I already accustomed to the hotkeys and downloading subtitle from the XBMC player. It's more superior than the native player.

I don't really care about streaming that much because I don't have enough time and my unifi usually suck at streaming.

Hopefully video playback will we fixed soon because XBMC playback pretty much a big deal for me since I am a long time xbmc user since the original xbox..

Anyway thanks for your answers. I guess I will try exploring the live streaming channel when I have the time
