cat 6 is good. archer, i dunno, am using asus.

i just watched a 10gb video on quasar.

can see the DL speed at almost 6MBps, i.e. close to max that my 50mbps can do.

that means 6MBps x 60 secs x 60 min x 2 hrs = 43gb video.

of course, can't expect that every sec.

realistically... it will be something like 4 x 60 x 60 = 14gb.

which is why i said yr 1000mbps shud breeze on a 20gb 2hr video.
one thing i thought of for u to try on kodi quasar to get dd/dd+5.1...

in the system settings, audio, set it to 2.0 and not 5.1.[B]

that's my setting - i get dd/dd+5.1... DTS/DSTHDMA will be transcoded to DD5.1 as well.

Already told him to do this.. Not sure he has or not.

Bro voncrane, earlier you asked me to change the audio setting to default but there is no default setting there, it starts from 2.0 all the way up, unless the 2.0 is the 'default' setting? Anyway, I maintained the setting at 5.1 as i managed to get 5.1 after disable the 'sync' in video setting. But let me try to set it back to 2.0 to test if it solves the buffering issue smile.gif
will revert after testing

Yep, 2.0 is the default value.. Since you are connecting to an AVR via HDMI and enabling passthrough, it's the proper setting as using anything else would be irrelevant to Kodi.

It is showing there is 7.1gb available.

Anything more than that, u get that not enuf space msg, of course.

If u want to play bigger files, u need to put int or ext hdd, set path accordingly.

If unsure how, google and watch a couple of youtube videos.

Clearing cache.. use the quickclean function (broom icon) at homescreen.

Deleting unwanted saved files.. use a good file manager app, get into the file structure, find and manually delete.

Path.... Int storage, android, data, org.xbmc.kodi, torrents.

Spend time exploring the box, test n experiment, then only can manage the files well.

10 liters of fluid simply cannot fit into a 5 liter container.. No matter how much you try to squeeze extra spaces. Either get a bigger container or limit oneself to just under 5 liters max. tongue.gif

The strange thing is, i cannot start my receiver unless i start my q10 pro. If i unplugged my q10 hdmi cable from the receiver, the problem is gone.
anyone else face the same issue and how to resolve ;

this is very unusual.

u should do some tests to isolate the cause.

try diff hdmi slots in AVR.; change hdmi cable.

r u using the provided hdmi cable box->avr?

what avr is this?

what other devices connected to the AVR?

1. Try changing which hdmi slots i plugged my q10 into the avr, same issue.

2. Using the hdmi cable by himedia

3.Sony STR DN1040 top of the line receiver

this is very strange.
all the years i use boxes with avr's, never had that.

u probably want to visit/call the people where u bought that avr from.

possibly some setting causing it.

I think this is something to do with the CEC.
Based on what I read elsewhere, Q10pro isn't CEC friendly. It will kill CEC link between devices.

I read somewhere that this is an issue for Q10 Pro running on firmware lower than 2.0.3, FW 2.0.3 has completely disabled the CEC so that there will be no interference with other devices.

Yes, just do over OTA. What is your current FW level? Are you on Android 5.1 or 7? Suggest you upgrade to Android 7 if you have not done it.

Stuck on 2.05 (android 7 ) - can't upgrade firmware over OTA ....

BTW -for you guys that insert your 3.5hdd into your q10, how do you later add/remove files from it, since you need to stick the glue on top of the casing to the hdd, so removing it is an issue.

First time, I'm reading such.. Hope you didn't glue your HDD to the box. tongue.gif .. As for transferring methods, there are various compatible methods.. Really depends on how healthy & strong your home network is and which devices you are transferring from or to.. One of the easiest ways is to use the popular & fuss-free app "AirDroid" and its accompanying service on PC.

tested this new app, live nettv.

https://www.livenettvapk.net/

it has hundreds of live tv channels but are mostly SD.

most of the SD ones work fine, HD ones don't work so well.

the SD live sports channels work ok, quality no worse than astrogo.

news, movies... pretty reliable.

for this app, select native android player, no need to download/install other player.

enjoy while it lasts!
