Guys,

I have ipad 2 with 3g but never try for 3g. Im looking fo prepaid Data plans for ipad. Which plan and telco can offer me with good signal, speed and cheap. Please recommend to me. Me at Kuantan anyway.

Maxis tongue.gif

Maxis & Celcom are going to launch New iPad data plan with contract on 22 June next week i guess smile.gif
For those who are not yet a New iPad owner, and feel like to be subsidize by these Telco, can hold force until next week tongue.gif

Really? Any limitation to that (Speed reduced during peak time etc.)?
*
FIrstly, u MUST be a Maxis One Club member then only u can apply for this.

No speed reduced during peak hour. Your speed will only be capped after you exceed the quota. smile.gif

Bro, only the latest gen of iPad aka The New iPad is supported to this Personal Hotspot function Officially by Apple.

If you are using iPad 2 or the original iPad, you wont find the personal hotspot function. sad.gif

Bro, go to Setting ---> General ---> ABout ----> See if there's a carrier update pop out?

Make sure you have the PRL version is 12.1 instead of 12.0

Mine is RM 18 monthly, 1 GB Quota. I called Maxis CS they said it's uncapped speed.

I called twice..  vmad.gif
*
Wow ... The MOC offer ? I tot that 1 is capped at 7.2Mbps also ?

btw i just checked in Maxis site and it is clearly stated there the speed is uncapped now hmm.gif But i found this statement *Speed is on a best effort basis; up to 7.2 Mbps. Speed depends on factors such as device capability,
location, distance from communications towers and number of simultaneous users.

Yes speed depends on device capability. So the new iPad capable of how much speed actually?

Weird that I manage to get 20 mbps on broadband modem using the same sim but on new iPad only manage to get 7 mbps max..  doh.gif
*
Using the same sim at the same location? Your broadband is to put micro sim instaed of the normal sim? hmm.gif
I think this new iPad can easily support over 10 Mbps as posted by some1 before a stunning 20mbps from umobile using the new iPad
