Went to digi centre just now, cause I had a iPhone plan which is still under contract. So they suggest using a sub line which only cost rm19 per month and purely data only. 1gb quota.

Hi,

Im currently using it. FYI, you dont have to poke it out from sim tray to topup or subscribe the plan. This is much better, i'd love this feature. In order to topup or subscribe, all you need to do is to open you browser ( Safari or Google Chrome in my case) then, access the url http://hotlink.com.my/web/portal/broadband. it will show 3 menus, Status, Topup and Buy subscription . Explore the menu and you will understand.

Hey Bro,

Do you managed to hit at least 15-20mbps with your hotlink 42mbps SIM card and ipad? If yes i wanna switch to that one since the current maxis ipad prepaid plan that im using only limit me at 7.2mbps.

Bro, since im using IPAD 3, i didnt get that speed, i think max around 7Mbps or near to that. What i remembered was when i set it to Personal Hotspot, connect my laptop to it and try to download a file, the transfer rate is minimum is 1mb/s. so, if convert it near to 10mbps right.

If u in KL area, then umobile might suit you.
U28 postpaid 1GB/mth RM28 free 100+200 sms
MB15 prepaid 500MB 15 days RM15 (RM30 with 1GB/mth, no freebies)

Digi got offers tablets plan, if you are current postpaid & broadband user you will get good offer. BUT i have to admit digi internet very slow even i very like Digi.

currently just sign digi RM48 plans with 2GB data,

max speed below 9mpbs

if over 2GB data will get extra charge or slow down internet?

Try reset network settings first. nod.gif
Settings > General > Reset (bottom) > Reset Network Settings

usually afterward the Personal Hotspot comes out under Cellular Data first

if cant then u need contact telco

Hi guys,

Currently on the new ipad (3rd generation) with 4G+WiFi

I'm looking at the available data plans for it. Preferably postpaid.

I'm wondering:

1) Does our new ipad (3rd generation) really accepts 4G since its LTE enabled?
2) If yes, which provider currently offers 4G LTE to you? Yes 4G macam tipu punya cos its WIMAX not LTE sweat.gif
3) If Maxis indeed provides 4G LTE plans, does their spectrum (2600mhz) covers our ipad one? Cos I'm not sure on our device
4) Why do they have to sell the 4G LTE plan as seperate than their usual plans? Because from what i see...

Normal data plan
4GB + 4GB (total 8GB data/month) = RM 68

4G LTE data plan
5GB + 15GB (total 20GB data/month) = RM 88

What difference does it make? If i were to use my ipad, isnt the SIM CARD is the one that matters rather than the modem? sweat.gif So in other words macam tipu saya sweat.gif

answer:
1) Yes and NO
Yes it can get LTE, but NOT in Malaysia. Not supported yet, and might not support for iPad baseband spectrum till dunno when sad.gif

3) Nope, ours are totally different. iPad ones are 700mHz

Number 2-4 : all u can ask to pros in the LTE 4G thread smile.gif (http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2375852)
