this afternoon my pc crash and i wasn' able to boot into windows. after finally restoring my system using system restore i was able to get the dump file and this is what the bsod look like
A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.
The problem seems to be caused by the following file: USBPORT.SYS
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:
Check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed. If this is a new installation, ask your hardware or software manufacturer for any Windows updates you might need.
If problems continue, disable or remove any newly installed hardware or software. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing. If you need to use safe mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press F8 to select Advanced Startup Options, and then select Safe Mode.
Technical Information:
*** STOP: 0x000000d1 (0x00059267, 0x00000002, 0x00000008, 0x00059267)
*** USBPORT.SYS - Address 0x92aeb05b base at 0x92aea000 DateStamp 0x4a5bc871
weirdly this bsod cause my pc to not able to boot at all, and when using the recovery disk it says windows boot manager is curropted and cant be fix. the reason it cant be fix is because noOsinstall error.
anybody have any idea on what is going on. i dont have any new stuff installed in the pc.

It's your bios setting for the SATA controller. IRRT change to ATA. It should work as this was a problem with XP.
You really should provide more info.. what version of OS are you using for example ?
