yup..no heat issue..except for warm left side palm rest area..
not as good as asus cool palm rest

Added on April 28, 2011, 9:05 amguys..i encountered one possible issue last nite..
my lappie did not start! after press ON button, only can see blinking CAPS LOCK light. monitor did not turn ON.

this happened after i put the additional 4gb ram..
so i open the back cover again and check connection..press press the memory module a bit..then try start again..pheww..started normally..
run HP's memory test..no issue..
not really sure whats the problem..but will monitor and update you guys if i encounter it again
*
i had the same problem on my 2 years old Compaq laptop on random occasion, i sent back to HP for warranty then they changed the motherboard for me, they even detected the HDD got problem then changed it for me too.

it may be due to the RAM stick was not properly plugged in, even such incident happens on desktop, the PC cannot boot

the RM120 that you mentioned, you need to purchase it within 10 days from the date of purchase of your notebook otherwise the price will be different later

i think HP technicians have the tools to check your notebook's performance, you may try to send back to HP centre and let them check

but now i suspect my laptop have problem still do recovery? haihhh regret already not doing recovery at first!

send back to HP Centre, tell them your problem and they will check since there may be hardware failures. better than you keep on making noise here and no solution can be found

QUOTE(carolcwf @ May 6 2011, 04:32 PM)
So I have made up my mind to buy DV6001TX. Called HP, followed up by an email, asked them to bill me the invoice + 4gb RAM.

After 3 days, they emailed me back and wrote:

Please been informed that we already change the model to DV6-6114TX however the specification and price is remain the same.

They claimed that DV6001TX has ran out of stock hence they are replacing the exact same model with a different model number.

I am still in total disbelief.

Why wanna change the model name if it is, like they said, TOTALLY THE SAME???

the price they charged online is RM3,999 instead of the retail price RM3,699 but they have the 0% 24 months instalment plan

Shit, dun tell me the price increase edi..... shakehead.gif

They were charging RM3,999 since few weeks back, no increase in the price just that retail price is cheaper. RM3,999 has included the 24 months instalment arrangement fees + delivery charges to your doorstep icon_idea.gif

Well, they are offering me the same price as the one selling in shops. So I thought just get them to deliver to me.

They claimed this is a 'new model' which has not been launched yet. I told them to send me the brochure to prove this.

It is all getting very fishy now. And I do not like any bit of it.

And why it took them 3 days to bill me the invoice?? Business too good??
*
You can get discounts or free gifts while buying from the shops and get it instantly if they got ready stock.

If you were to buy from HP, you need to wait for around 2-3 weeks for its arrival to your doorstep provided your clearance of payment is done quick. If they send you the brochure or the details of the new specs, please update us here
