QUOTE(carolcwf @ May 6 2011, 04:32 PM)
So I have made up my mind to buy DV6001TX. Called HP, followed up by an email, asked them to bill me the invoice + 4gb RAM.

After 3 days, they emailed me back and wrote:

Please been informed that we already change the model to DV6-6114TX however the specification and price is remain the same.

They claimed that DV6001TX has ran out of stock hence they are replacing the exact same model with a different model number.

I am still in total disbelief.

Why wanna change the model name if it is, like they said, TOTALLY THE SAME???
*
the price they charged online is RM3,999 instead of the retail price RM3,699 but they have the 0% 24 months instalment plan

They were charging RM3,999 since few weeks back, no increase in the price just that retail price is cheaper. RM3,999 has included the 24 months instalment arrangement fees + delivery charges to your doorstep icon_idea.gif

Well, they are offering me the same price as the one selling in shops. So I thought just get them to deliver to me.

They claimed this is a 'new model' which has not been launched yet. I told them to send me the brochure to prove this.

It is all getting very fishy now. And I do not like any bit of it.

And why it took them 3 days to bill me the invoice?? Business too good??

You can get discounts or free gifts while buying from the shops and get it instantly if they got ready stock.

If you were to buy from HP, you need to wait for around 2-3 weeks for its arrival to your doorstep provided your clearance of payment is done quick. If they send you the brochure or the details of the new specs, please update us here

Buying through reseller in this forum is recommended also as thy do provide great service like using dependable courier, even to some ulu place in TErengganu. I got my lappie just a day after I bank into the reseller's account and it's through postage. Products received are in well conditions. Hehe. Quote from nevertheless, from a guy called darrel. smile.gif
