I haven't test it tho... and i still have switchable graphic option.
Oh.. i get that prompt few times also when i'm playing Shift 2 and benchmarking with 3DMarkVantage while overclocking. But i didn't get any BSOD yet. What is the temperatures at that time?
Neh.. Probably not a temperature issue. I just woke up at that time and it happened shortly after i open the screen...
I've had many hours of CoDs without any issues

Oh.. i can't try that. I only have 1 window partition tho.

But i remember transferring few GBs of video file from my Ext4 partition into my NTFS partition yet still surfing and playing Flac audio as normal without any slowdown. Can't try while playing game because my Linux box doesn't have any game installed. laugh.gif

I bought my first dv6 from PC fair (Mobility Square Sdn Bhd), the first unit was faulty (Display & Battery Lock Problem), I claimed for DOA, HP Customer Service sent me a new one. The new one had major problem (mainboard & Display again), first they said problem is from heatsink fan and refused to replace the unit, but after change heatsink fan the issue did not solve, and they said system has a mainboard problem, and accept to DOA, but I asked them to give me the unit at HP customer service (in HP Tower) to check it before collecting.
Actually, I finished my study in Malaysia and I am in rush to come back to my country, so I need money more than new laptop, because I want to ship my stuff and shipment to another country is really expensive.

Looks like a guide is necessary for this Acid.
Like I said, I experienced the same thing when I first got my dv6.  Try defragging your hard drive, and if that doesn't help, then try restoring your system to factory settings.  It could simply be that something you installed messed up a default program or something.
*
I just restored mine dv6 to default factory setting...but the problem still there. So far Samsung and Toshiba HDD having this problem when copying files from one internal drive to another internal drive, the Windows will slow down dramatically and if I tried loading a game(Warcraft III), it took more than 10s to load!! Can others with Seagate HDD in their dv6 try this? Hope for some feedbacks sad.gif

No point buying the higher end 6108, the processor has the same amount of cache, and is just marginally faster.

As for the graphics, 2GB VRAM in a mid range card is just pointless and just fools uneducated consumers who think more is better.

Your partition both using the same filesystem? How fast the is transfer speed? hmm.gif

Like i said, i don't have another partition to test on, but i have a 16GB pendrive. So i copied 10GB HD video files into the pendrive while running NBA2K11, playing a 1080P, Foobar2k running playing my FLAC audio, Google Chrome, Opera, Window Live and Photoshop idling on the background.

The video is running smooth, audio playback of the video and foobar2k is smooth, the NBA2k11 is smooth and no lag when i alt+tab-ing windows.
