Trying to shoot the lightning, but only got two shot with it and it doesn't look nice. So instead used 210 shots to try out a time lapse video

QUOTE(gnome @ May 1 2011, 08:16 PM) Or maybe tripod not steady enough? The shutter open and close motion do create some vibration. Assuming you use a tripod that is I do use tripod, it's realy stable. Hmm... nvm lah, cause just want to try and play with it 210 shots and only 15seconds video Added on May 1, 2011, 8:32 pm QUOTE(celciuz @ May 1 2011, 08:25 PM) When I look back my photos, it really does shake a bit Maybe my tripod (SLIK F630) not stable enough to take time lapse video, or should crop the photos This post has been edited by Terbulance: May 1 2011, 08:32 PM |

QUOTE(azrinarizz @ May 1 2011, 09:03 PM) I don't think its the trigger or tripod problem. Its photo problem. What I am trying to say is you are using fast SS. So when you do your time lapse it appears to be jerky. You need to make the shutter speed much slower, then you will see that your video is smooth. My SS is slow, I shot at 3sec and f22. SS can't go any lower cause it's still bright and I don't have a ND filter. When the sky is draker I decrease the SS up until 15sec. So it's quite slow. I think it's due to the tripod not stable enough cause at that time the wind wind is very strong. Will try to shoot again when I have the chance Thanks for the advice also! |

QUOTE(KIEN18 @ May 16 2011, 08:56 PM) I don't know how to catch those light also...hahaha... Thanks anyway, nice pic.. Added on May 16, 2011, 8:57 pm i know long exposure, but... don't when to click the shutter button and snap... What camera do you use? Cause D90 can shoot up to 9 shots if you set it to timer mode. So I just set the shutter speed to 30secs and it will continue to shoot for 9 photos. 9x30secs = 4.5mins. So during that period it will capture the lightning when it strikes. Another way is to use a program like Camera Control Pro 2 from Nikon. It can do time lapse photography, so it can continue to shoot pictures continuesly while connected to your camera. The 3rd way is to buy Timer Pro Remote Release Cord. Here's a youtube tutorial for shooting lightning. This post has been edited by Terbulance: May 16 2011, 09:12 PM |

Need advice, there's a forumer selling battery grip. When I ask for MB-D80 best price he gave really good price, then warranty is 18 months one to one change. I thought Nikon Malaysia only give 1 year warranty?
