I know what is he referring to. D7000 can preview which AF point you used. So if you use center point, then you recompose to the side, the AF indicator still is the center point.

No need, it won't show accurate cause you're recomposed.

You must make sure that the focus lock button is not on "L" so that you can move and choose which AF point that you want.

I don't think it is dust. it will most probably diffraction. since you are using F@22 tongue.gif

Image looks soft to me. Or you focused on wrong location?

This is at f/1.4 and it looks sharper than yours at f/2.8?

I don't think its that issue. Its either OOF or the lens is just no good at f/2.8 sharpness (I doubt lah.. at f/2.8 most primes are acceptable).

I'm using 85mm on FF and also f/1.4, I think my DOF even more shallow?
*
Cause that's Miss Perak preview show...and those model move very fast...so quite hard to focus.. sad.gif

cause model move fast...
i have no choice...so straight snap...sigh........... sad.gif cry.gif

Pretty sure is dust.

To check dust , use F/22+.

You can try to do also =).

Point to white paper or sky to infinity.

Now I know why my I noticed my D700 side there peeling too or rather signs of giving way, its actually a screw area o_O. Scotty, still under warranty?

More or less similar, better also is just a tiny bit. Its not like D7000 versus D300 type of differences.

You can find many nice shot from this guy, all his shots are jpeg, if not wrong, straight out from camera, and I think he set the sharpness to 7.
I notice most of his shots are not wide open, he should be using mostly the sweet spot of those lenses.

I did ask him for samples of wife open shots with his sigma 50-150, but he never replied.
*
I also want too see it too in raw even better...wut I don't understand is that only he got the nice shot the rest of the pic over there not so chun...don't know how he do it but the pic is nice...
