3GB GT555M on m14x is waste of money. Someone slapped this info into my face yesterday. is this true?

Think of getting m14x but heard the fan noise problem is quite serious.

Is it really that loud?

Still, after a while the fan will kick in to full speed and the noise will get just as loud. The BIOS update only delay the noise, not eliminated it altogether.

We don't know that for sure, but I think R2 will be launch together or after the launch of ivy bridge, no point of launching new revision without new hardware.

Yup... 5 series very hot. Jus need time to time make sure no dust collect on the fan or heatsink.

guys, till date, any solution for the enter key for m15x? some game like crysis 2 when i press the enter key, it didnt respond as cos it was assign as the numpad enter key instead.. any fix for that? happen to m14x or not

Hi all M14x owners ....

My wife is considering the M14x for her next lappy, not for the gaming but bcoz she wanted something unique and different from the other brands.

Anyway, I noticed the M14x screen, the highest customized screen that I can upgrade to is:

14" (35.6cm) WLED HD+ (900p) display (1600X900)

Was wondering what will happen if I wanted to watch bluray movie on this lappy?

Bluray requires FHD right?

Can some one enlighten me before I make my order?
