QUOTE(zad78 @ May 12 2011, 04:34 AM) Just now, first time experienced Battery power drain i.e. Suddenly my M15x could not obtain power from battery, only from power supply. What I did to rectify the problem was: tqs for the heads up =D1. Switch off the laptop 2. Pull out the battery 3. Pull out the power supply 4. With everything off. Just hold the power button (alienhead) for 10 sec. 5. Put back the battery 6. Connect the power supply 7. On the laptop 8. Voila! Problem solved Trust me, you will encounter this at least one time IF you always used your power supply (99%) as a main source to supply power to your laptop. Hope this helps. it will be useful for me in the not far future .... but after hearing all this seems like aw lappy hav many problems lol Added on May 12, 2011, 6:08 amGuys ... im reconsidering the m18x thing >.< shipping from canada is still kinda elaborate for me >.< what if i get a m17xR3? since its available in malaysia, it makes things ALOT easier lol or should i consider an ASUS ? this 2 are the most possible candidates for a gaming laptop for me >.< the games im gonna play are most probably, Dragon Nest, Prototype 2, DMC5, DA3, FIFA 12, PES 2012, Mass Effect 3 assuming those games come out XD juz a rough example, will m17x be able to handle it ? p.s and im gonna take animation designing course too , quite sure it can handle that =D and i was kinda building my own laptop at malaysia dell , and the price was kinda around 12k >.< can anyone giv me some guidance >.< This post has been edited by 9satan9: May 12 2011, 06:08 AM |

QUOTE Just to give you a better picture of how powerful single HD6970 is compared to desktop counterpart. HD6970M is almost on par with dual HD5870M, while single HD5870M is almost as good as HD5770 desktop version, so single HD6970M is almost on par with dual HD5770 desktop version. That's a lot of power already for me. smile.gif Regarding the animation designing, you're going to get more software/driver optimization by using Quadro GPU (Nvidia) or AMD Firegl, which is build exclusively for stuff like that. But for me, if you already have dual or single HD6970M, everything will be smooth for you, in fact HD6970M already can handle all games at max currently. Of course for future proof, HD6970M crossfire will have more advantage, its benchmark is almost as high as GTX570 desktop. nod.gif Ok... Rather than hearing the good side ... can anyone tell the downside of R17xR3? current malfunctioning issues all those , and other than processor , screen size , and graphic card, m17x is kinda on par with m18x rite ? QUOTE ^ The M17x is very powerful already bro, it shouldn't have much problems gaming the upcoming games laugh.gif You might want to consider it instead, save all the hassle of importing and having warranty problems later on hmm.gif Just my 2 cents laugh.gif the main reason im hesitating XD i mean .. who knows what could happen during transport XD tsunami/ earthquake/ big octopus kill the ship / osama(his soul) snatch the plane AGAIN then i need to wait another month for a new laptop ? HELL NO XD |

QUOTE(Mr.Docter @ May 13 2011, 01:24 PM) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Not gonna comment on the monitor part because its too obvious that gonna hit the portability, but only choosen headphone got my attention. Since you are having high budget, why don't you go straight to Trittion 5.1? Its around RM 800 with Amp and don't forget to buy External Soundcard as well. QUOTE If your gonna get kb and even monitor...wouldn't it be better if you just went ahead and get a desktop? QUOTE my answer's the same with tjinn, seems like you're getting monitor, keyboard....won't you consider a desktop instead? and i see that you're gonna rent a room, won't moving be a hassle later on? well for that ... i was thinking of putting it in the room only .... when im on the go im not gonna bring all that lol >.< the keyboard and monitor are gonna remain put in the room =D |

QUOTE(putochip123 @ May 13 2011, 07:22 PM) Malaysia originally come witb complete cover where US offer limited warranty only. hmmmmm i did consider kave .... >.< and why would destructor be annoying ?Added on May 13, 2011, 7:26 pm Destructor will be very annoying. I will prefer roccat sense. Headset go for kave is better than any same range headset. Even though other7.1 is virtual only. Kave with true 5.1 output is a lot better than 7.1 ur laptop have 5 jacks so u have to fully utilise it. Not buying a head set only with 1 green jackz. Wasted |
