Not sure why it happens... even with normal, non-slot load optical drives, sometimes it happens.... but installation will surely resumes if you repeatably "take out the disc and put it back again"
Slot loads are the same, only that they're hard to eject, and sometimes get stucked

Still, it only happens to certain discs, some Jack Sparrow ones are okay

Hmm, it 2-3 seconds for me... maybe cause the laptop is still new haha

Try factory reset using your recovery medias?

Might want to try out Cooler Master U3... can slot the laptop into the cooler pad to save space~
Also the U3 has quite a lot of modding potential
