1) SQ doesnt need back speaker. Need a COMPONENT up front
2)NO SQ is complete without sub woofer.
3)2 Din- Not many HU tat can play good SQ is 2 din... Unless ur referring to alpine w202.
4)SQ rocks tongue.gif

Lastly, yeap u need amp for component speaker to make it sound good. So absolutely necessary smile.gif

QUOTE(Wuakaka @ Apr 25 2008, 12:47 AM)
erm, guys,i'm kinda noob in ice here,i'm juz wondering why they are different numbers of RCA pre-outs?if i already installed side door panel speaker and using the ori speaker at rear now,(in future i might upgrade to 2 way speaker or 3 way),therefore,i need which type of HU
p/s:not planning to install sub woofer as i am not a bass fan, more to sound quality
*
Depends on ur budget. mid end pioneer HU comes with 3 rca pre out i think. Heres my thought:

2 way active : u need 2 rca preout for front & 1 for bass
3 way active: u need 4 rca preout ( 3 for front and 1 for bass)

take note sound quality is never complete without sub. nod.gif

lol... amps doest not produce sound but it amplifies the signal from ur HU to ur speakers. Whether its worth getting good amp its up to individual. Also different amp gives different kind of sound. Some dynamic, some clean, some warm.. lousy one gives noise tongue.gif

sub rated at 300rms @ 4ohms with dual voice coil means u can either wired it up @ 8 ohms or 2 ohms. Best is to get a mono that pumps out 600rms @ 2 ohms or more

bafukie, the tweets of scanspeak all oso need to be on axis?
*
not all, but if u r targeting the ring radiator... then yes

QUOTE(KhmerTRD @ Nov 14 2008, 09:39 PM)
is it unbalance? wat should i do for da front? or i dun need DLS amp for my sub? i abit confused...
*
Im saying that focus on the front speakers first but i dun see any harm buying dls a6 now as it will save u money and energy later if u plan to upgrade

QUOTE(ckmoy007 @ Nov 14 2008, 10:07 PM)
dun bother about bafukie... tongue.gif he's saying if u get A6, will have a much higher end amp than the 4ch for front.. it's not to say no good or unbalance, it's just dat ppl will focus more on the front sq compare to sub. sub is least important in a system except for SPL setup. if not, for daily use, concentrate more on sq at front so dat can go loud and clear... smile.gif
*
ckmoy, every part of a sound system is equally important. from the HU rite down to the cables... and yes if ur sub sucks the whole system sucks as well no matter how good the front is.
