bought a pioneer bcoz after surfin d web..their new amp are really expensive in the UK n us...(gm series over hifonic(forget wat hifonic model))
my judgement really on d price..more pricy i think is a better product..but here in msia..hifonic are expensive than pioneer..
a 4ch 85 watt rms hifonic=rm 1150 pioneer 4ch gm6400f,60 watt rms=rm800..

lookin forward for 4ch amp n a sub budget within rm1k--1.5k..
will upgrade anything else bit by bit later...( i like my ICE improves a little.bit by bit really enjoy d experience of havin new gadget..one by one piece..n noticable gain...start wif a hu,6 months later comp set. one yaer later amp n sub..and so on)

i just hope no waste goin backward buyin same thing that ive bough...

ive got a phillips 6" ported sub 150rms,90db(home theater set) at home..bass is quite good..really into my liking..i can only compare to that..

aint get any friend yet near my place for me to compare bass sound..most shop also are more into SPL(louder d better)..
what i can do now is only read..tigh bass,deep bass,techno type bass,metal music bass...but i really gotta feel d bass for maself someday wiout being poison of breaking d bank of course...
listen to almost all kind of music...
my phillips really can serve me well from metallica to siti nurhaliza..hehehe

for SQ...what matters? size of sub? rms of sub?number of sub?monobloc powered sub?db n frequency range of sub?

please gimme a solution...for value for money sub to a newbie in ice wif untrained ears ppl like me...(cheapskate wer it matters,breaking a bank only when nessacary)....really cant afford ''wealth sound" that i dunno how to enjoy it

what are d price range of d peerless,seas,rainbow or vanadium?(these models are entrylevel or high end)

yup..now i can picture a bit ported enclosure character...(based on my hts).. some part of d song..hip hop genre to b exact..d bass is so boomy... but yet the vocal part still can hear it clearly..if in that case i think..SQ with a bit SPL mix..i think still ok wif me..
wat matter most i hope my sub wont sound from d back(because sub located at d trunk).. hope d installer know wat he is doin n tune it well..

ah chuan.. ure in my situation one week ago..hehehe

mine is quite limited budget also..but i managed to save more just to skip from cap ayam"territory price range) stuff..

rm1100 for amp n sub..to b frank i got a lil bit regret also...just a bit lah,not much..

so, my advise to u..get a reputable ICE brand..middle end wud b good,eventhough its a 2nd hand...2nd reliablity is well..depend own ur luck also lah..

im trapped wif a entry level branded...so my conclusion for d time being..
avoid cap ayam
avoid entry level commercial brand(sometimes its expensive bcouz of d brand name..,maybe at a time some cap ayam can beat its quality)
go for branded "ice" product..not jack of all trade electronic branded product such as....ehem ehem(coudnt type)..hehehe
middle end n high end i dunno lah..maybe next time ...wanna enjoy my entry level 1st..

well as a newbie wif in ICE...we always comes into dilemma between two..
1.want it fast,want it now..wif a limited budget even cap ayam will do
2.got some patience doin it slowly bit by bit(hu,comp,amp,sub,mono,etc)

if ur ears can stand SQ from cheap non branded product in years to come i think its ok to stick to number1..if not,then its a waste because u will replace it all over again..

i fall wif number 1(amp n sub) and 2(hu n comp)....hehehe..just managed to skip cap ayam only..but in d end reached my rm1.5k budget oredy including instalation..now thinkin of addin mono to my setup..

definetly do not use pioneer speaker...unless d prs(or higher) model..
rm800 to rm1200 for comp,6x9 n sub? what bout amp?

tak cun la kalau main sub tak pakai amp.....
i think for rm1200..get a component speaker front..use d stock rear speaker..(for rm1200 u will get a good quality comp oredy..n even more if u buy 2nd hand)..

cant recomend u any good comp set tho..theres lotta good stuff out there...if im in ur situation..ill go for RSAUDIO 2nd..somebody sellin at rm1500 only...yummmy...

a good front comp set will b good enuf for front staging n passenger at d back also..no need sub pun dah ok...

or...rm600 for component speaker and rm600 for a 4ch amp...add sub later...believe me..plan ur setup on d early stage...add on bit by bit later on...its better then change..change n keep on changing ur speaker or setup..

hehehe pioneer is not that bad..value for money maybe but dont have anything to shout bout their entry level speaker..

ckmooy sl60..zenn f4-380 n ala forgot who selling peerles sub..all 2nd but reputable brand within my budget(us speaker,italian amp n danish sub..rms wattage also similar..will b gud enuf wifout monoblock to save cost)..but for me nasi became porridge oredy..ill try to adapt my listening to my setup..

and u sud set ur setup wif ur choice of song n driving condition also...do some research about dynamic n warm setup or even both..
sometime when we drive in heavy conjested traffic jem..ive found maself feeling(music saturated)..rasa macam bising je dalam telinga..nak tutup music sunyi pulak,nak pasang sakit kepala)...setting loudness to minimum help wif a warm setting help a bit on this...

and one more..when u doing a long journey(>500km wifout rest or stopping,) will a bit music saturated n tired also..warm setting coming out handy here..thank god even after doin long journey my setup still not make me tired..(maybe bcouze still new n got lotta excitement)..hahaha

but sometimes they comes a time when felt a lil bit lifeless with my setup..dunno bout dynamic..n my entrepretation is based on my lil experience on ICE only..let sifus guide u more on this issue

theres a lot of brand that is value for money to choose from,hard to determine which one is good or not..u must keep on researching owner hand on experience..some have good feature but not so user friendly..some have amazing spec but when u use d bt or usb..its very choosy bout d software on ur usb ..(can play some cant play some)..

usually buyer had a dilemma chossing between two..
1..real pure deck that promise u damn good sq wif its copper coating,gold plated rca ,time alligment wide band of tuning but they lack of internal amp ,bt or usb function..and they are not cheap also..

2.the usual that have all d function but sq so so only..but at affordable price..

look at pioneer,clarion,alpine n kenwood lineup..
